Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays - A funny, provocative evening of new plays by award-winning playwrights starring a rotating celebrity cast to benefit marriage equality. At this annual solstice ritual, the Paul Winter Consort celebrates the first sunrise of summer within the vast acoustics of the world's largest cathedral, New York's Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Beginning in complete darkness, musicians surrounding the audience play continuously for two hours as the cathedral's stained-glass windows gradually illuminate to usher in the longest day of the year.

Great Lakes Theater Festival (GLTF), Cleveland's professional classic theater, announced the appointment of Holly Tomasch as the company's new development director today. As the head of GLTF's development department, Tomasch will oversee all individual, corporate and foundation fundraising efforts for the organization. Approximately $2M of the Festival's $3.6M annual operating budget is generated from contributed income sources each season.

MTV today announced the addition of new scripted comedy 'Awkward.' to its summer lineup, premiering Tuesday, July 19 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. Online fun and games turn destructive when a teenage girl is digitally harassed in the two-hour ABC Family original movie, 'Cyberbully,' starring Emily Osment ('Hannah Montana'), Kelly Rowan ('The OC') and Kay Panabaker ('No Ordinary Family'), premiering Sunday, July 17 at 8:00PM ET/PT. 'Cyberbully' is being presented as part of a campaign by ABC Family and Seventeen magazine to bring awareness to the youth issue of digital abuse and bullying. Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, and Geffen Playhouse Board Member, Cynthia Stafford, will host the 1st Annual Cynthia Stafford's 'Gifted Day at the Geffen' at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15th at the Geffen Playhouse in Westwood, Calif. Stafford is teaming up with Partnership for Los Angeles Schools, an initiative of the Mayor's Office, and the Geffen Playhouse to host 250 students for a day of theater education.

Fifteen students from colleges and universities around the world were honored tonight (June 11) as winners in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 38th Annual Student Academy Awards® competition. For several days, they had participated in a slate of industry-related activities and social events culminating in the awards ceremony, which featured as presenters actress Jennifer Garner, Oscar®-nominated animator John Musker, and Academy Award-winning producer Edward Zwick alongside Academy President Tom Sherak at the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
