Screen Media announced today it has acquired all North American rights for Tilman Singer's audacious, psychotropic horror film LUZ, planning a first quarter 2019 release in theaters across the US.

The premiere of the highly anticipated MURPHY BROWN revival will feature an extended episode, written by series creator/executive producer Diane English, Thursday, Sept. 27 (9:30-10:05 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Following MURPHY BROWN, the second season premiere of S.W.A.T. will air 10:05-11:05 PM, ET/PT. THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT will begin at its regularly scheduled time, 11:35 PM, ET/PT.

Amazon Studios today announced it has signed an overall television deal with Emmy Award-winning producer and director Reed Morano (The Handmaid's Tale). Morano made history by being the first woman to ever win the Emmy and DGA Award in the same year for a dramatic series - both for her work on The Handmaid's Tale and was the first woman to win an Emmy in the Drama series category in 22 years. She will exclusively work with Amazon Studios to create original series which will be made available on Amazon Prime Video in over 200 countries and territories.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today it has renewed for a fourth season its hit megachurch drama series “Greenleaf” from Lionsgate, award-winning writer/executive producer Craig Wright, and executive producers Clement Virgo, Kriss Turner Towner, and Oprah Winfrey. The series stars Merle Dandridge as Grace Greenleaf, Lynn Whitfield as Lady Mae Greenleaf, and Keith David as Bishop Greenleaf. Season three guest stars include the legendary Patti LaBelle as Maxine Patterson, Iyanla Vanzant appearing as herself, and Beau Bridges as Bob Whitmore.

Super Saiyans Goku and Vegeta will gather to face their most powerful foe ever on January 16 – the official theatrical opening date for “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” announced today by Funimation® Films.  The 20th film from the franchise and first from the “Dragon Ball Super” series, “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” is based on the original story, screenplay and character designs of creator Akira Toriyama and features an updated art style reminiscent of the classic bestselling Dragon Ball manga series. To celebrate the new film, Funimation will host a star-studded red carpet world premiere of the English dub on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the historic TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Expected guests will include the stars of the English cast, celebrity guests and studio executives.

Greg Garcia's anthology comedy series The Guest Book, which premiered as 2017's #1 new cable comedy, returns to TBS on Tuesday, October 23 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) with back-to-back new episodes. Subsequent episodes will air on Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

The Country Music Association's critically acclaimed CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank has announced a performance at The Novo in Los Angeles Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 7:00 PM featuring four-time CMA Awards-winning duo Florida Georgia Line alongside songwriters Corey Crowder, HARDY, and Tree Vibez Music special guests. The series hosts intimate performances with some of Country Music's most exciting songwriting talent taking turns telling the stories behind their hit songs and performing them as originally written. Catalina Film Fest (CFF) is excited to announce it will celebrate 8 years of cinema on beautiful Catalina Island by expanding to a new sister city by the sea: Long Beach. The inaugural partnership will connect the island festival experience to the mainland Sept. 26-30, 2018, bookending CFF with 'launch' and 'landing' premieres, parties and panels Wednesday-Thursday and Sunday in Long Beach. Catalina Island will play host to CFF Friday and Saturday, with Festival-chartered party cruises to and from Catalina Classic Cruises' Queen Mary Terminal daily.

Cleopatra Entertainment has secured the North American and UK distribution rights to the 2018 SXSW Film Festival Official Selection documentary CONNY PLANK: THE POTENTIAL OF NOISE. The U.S. theatrical premiere is slated for 6:00 PM on Friday, September 28th at the Arena Cinelounge Theater in Los Angeles, and the film will run the entire week for a seven day engagement. In attendance at the premiere will be the film's co-director and son of the late Conny Plank, Stephan Plank, and the film's Berlin-based producer Milena Fessman, who will participate in an exclusive Q&A following the screening.
