Neil Burger, the director of 'The Upisde,' will write and direct the sci-fi thriller “Voyagers,” according to Variety. 

The Boston Pops and conductor Keith Lockhart will showcase the extraordinary range of “America's Orchestra” on tours to Florida (February 9-14) and Texas (March 20-24) this winter with “Lights, Camera…Music! Six Decades of John Williams.” Based on the Pops' 2017 recording of the same name, the program focuses on music from the beloved film scores of composer and Boston Pops Conductor Laureate John Williams. Audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy excerpts from such classic films scores as Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harry Potter, and the Star Wars series, as well as less familiar music by Mr. Williams, including themes from such classic scores as The Witches of Eastwick, The Towering Inferno,andHeidi.

CBS has ordered a pilot for “The Story of Us,” the comedy from writer and executive producer Mike Royce, according to Variety.

On Friday 25th January 2019, Isotopia Records will release High Tides, a new album of original songs by the singer Constance Hauman, whose critically acclaimed first solo recording, Falling Into Now, was included on The Guardian's list of the 10 Best Albums of 2015. High Tides, Hauman's second album, demonstrates her skill and craftsmanship as a songwriter and her talent and versatility as a singer and musician. The album contains eight new songs composed by Hauman, as well as Everlong by Dave Grohl and Les Chemins de l'Amour by Francis Poulenc. High Tides was produced by Constance Hauman and Ross Pederson - who was also the recording and mix engineer and performs throughout the album on drums, bass and midi.

For the week ending Jan. 11, THE TALK, featuring new host Carrie Ann Inaba, delivered 2.47 million viewers, its largest weekly audience in almost 10 months – since the week ending March 30, 2018. The Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show also scored a 0.7 in women 25-54, its best number in the demo this season.

Showtime Documentary Films today announced the latest project from Academy Award® and Grammy® winner Morgan Neville (Won't You Be My Neighbor, 20 Feet From Stardom): SHANGRI-LA (wt), a docu-series about legendary music producer Rick Rubin that will air on SHOWTIME later this year. A work-in-progress will screen at SXSW in Austin in March. With Rubin's infamous studio in Malibu as the backdrop, SHANGRI-LA pulls back the veil on Rubin and his work with musicians across every genre. The series is an all-access pass into Rubin's creative process, giving viewers a taste of what it's like to be produced by the music world's most singular voice.

Anne Hathaway is set to star in Robert Zemeckis and Warner Bros.' “The Witches” adaptation, according to Variety. 

Television series creator-showrunner Jenji Kohan (Orange is the New Black, Weeds) has been named the recipient of the Writers Guild of America West's 2019 Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award for Television Writing Achievement, presented to a Guild member who has “advanced the literature of television and made outstanding contributions to the profession of the television writer.” She will be honored at the WGAW's 2019 Writers Guild Awards L.A. show on Sunday, February 17, 2019.

After a three-year investigation by ABC News Chief Business, Technology and Economics correspondent Rebecca Jarvis, “Nightline” has produced the feature documentary “The Dropout” to tell the story of Elizabeth Holmes, the college dropout turned founder and CEO of technology company Theranos. Once the youngest self-made female billionaire, Elizabeth's company and its nearly $10 billion valuation came crashing down amid accusations of massive fraud. In “The Dropout,” Jarvis guides viewers through the twists and turns of Elizabeth's rise and fall with new interviews and never-before-aired deposition tapes, and hears from central figures from all chapters of the story. On Wednesday, Jan. 23, “Nightline” will air a special preview of the documentary; and ABC Radio will launch a six-part podcast with the same title, also hosted by Jarvis. New podcast episodes will be made available each Wednesday.
