During the mid-1980s Locate Your Lips made some of the most adventurous music heard in Milwaukee. They were a powerful trio but not a power trio in the classic rock sense. Built around the jazz-schooled yet rock ready drumming of Kenny Baldwin, the empathetic accompaniment of bassist Andy Cavaluzzi and fiery guitar playing by (ex - Shivvers guitarist) Jim Eannelli, Locate Your Lips emerged from the city's punk rock scene—Kenny owned the Starship club that became its Downtown mecca—but was not confined by it. With the energy of punk and the sophistication of jazz and progressive rock Locate Your Lips broke ground and left audiences unable to pigeonhole them.

JOE SATRIANI has had a long and acclaimed solo career, his awards and accolades from fans and the industry alike are unending. Yet, through all of that, SATRIANI has often mentioned in interviews the musical trio that launched the next step in his musical career, his first band, the Squares, formed in Berkeley, CA in the late 70's. Girl Rising, the nonprofit behind the global campaign for girls' education and empowerment, today released the trailer for the upcoming short film, Brave Girl Rising, which will debut on International Women's Day, 2019. The 20-minute film, written by a refugee, performed by a cast of refugees, and made in collaboration with refugees, is about how hope, love, and friendship can propel us beyond even the most bleak of circumstances. It tells the story of Nasro, a 17-year-old girl whose courageous drive to continue her education is inspired by the magical dreams of her mother and the sisterhood of her friends.  Brave Girl Rising will debut Friday, March 8, at https://girlrising.org/brave.

Celebrated guitarist Eric Krasno (Soulive, Lettuce) has announced the third edition of his Daze Between Band in New Orleans, LA. The late-night show, now an annual tradition during Jazz Fest, will feature an all-star cast of musicians from Lettuce, Trey Anastasio Band, Ghost-Note, and more. The show will take place at the beloved French Quarter club, One Eyed Jacks on Wednesday, May 1st.

Craig Finn has announced live dates surrounding his soon-to-be-released solo album, I Need A New War.
