Berklee College of Music has named film composer and orchestrator Sean McMahon as chair of the Film Scoring Department. McMahon is a Berklee alumnus who has scored the films The Grudge III, 400 Days, and The Great White Storm, and has composed additional music for Dreamworks and Sony/Columbia pictures. McMahon has served as assistant chair of the department since 2017. He will succeed Alison Plante as chair on September 1, 2019. In his new role, McMahon looks to build on the 40-year legacy of film scoring at Berklee.

Netflix has announced the cast of its new supernatural coming of age series, I Am Not Okay With This. From Jonathan Entwistle, creator/director of The End of the F***ing World and the producers of Stranger Things comes new series I Am Not Okay With This based on the Charles Forsman graphic novel.  I Am Not Okay With This is an irreverent origin story, following a teenage girl navigating the trials and tribulations of high school, all while dealing with the complexities of her family, her budding sexuality, and... mysterious superpowers just beginning to awaken from deep within her.  

Former First Lady Michelle Obama joins James Corden for an epic international dodgeball game that will kick off the week of London broadcasts of THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN. Nickelodeon is reimagining its chillingly beloved anthology Are You Afraid of the Dark? as a brand-new limited series premiering this October. Through three hour-long episodes, the series introduces an entirely new Midnight Society group of kids who tell a terrifying tale about the Carnival of Doom, only to have the events of the story come to life. Production on the new Are You Afraid of the Dark? will commence this month in Vancouver, Canada.
