Netflix's critically-acclaimed series Dear White People has been renewed for a fourth and final season as the characters head back to Winchester University one last time. Vol. 4 will consist of ten all-new episodes, with creator Justin Simien returning as co-showrunner, writer and executive producer, alongside co-showrunner and executive producer Yvette Lee Bowser. 

TLC announced today the return of its gripping docu-series LONG LOST FAMILY, beginning Friday, October 25 at 10pm ET/PT. With the help of hosts Chris Jacobs and Emmy Award-winning journalist Lisa Joyner, estranged relatives who have suffered decades of separation take another step toward the possibility of discovering and reuniting with family members.

Nickelodeon, the number-one kids' network, and Tyler Perry Studios have entered into a content partnership to jointly develop and produce a new kids and family live-action series with 10-year-old rapper Young Dylan (Dylan Gilmer, @officialyoungdylan). The news was revealed today on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency Ltd. (CMRRA), a SoundExchange company, announced today that Paul Shaver has been named President. Shaver previously served as Vice President at Nielsen Entertainment Canada, where he was instrumental in the launch of the Music Connect platform in Canada that provides improved data transparency to publishers and the music industry at large.  He also more than doubled the number of monitored radio stations so publishers and rights organizations would have 24/7 airplay monitoring.  Shaver's appointment reflects a focus on refining and expanding the services CMRRA provides the publishing community.

Music House, a singing competition hosted by iHeartRadio's 102.7 KIIS FM and LiveMe, launches today in the LiveMe app. The winner of the competition will perform at KIIS FM's Jingle Ball Village Stage at KIIS Jingle Ball on Dec. 6, with Katy Perry, BTS, Billie Eilish and Sam Smith on the Main Stage lineup.

CMT has announced that Ashley McBryde will receive the “Breakout Artist of the Year” award and will perform live at this year's “CMT Artists of the Year” event. Kevin Reilly, President, TBS, TNT, and truTV, and Chief Content Officer, HBO Max today announced that Brett Weitz, general manager of TBS & TNT will now also take on oversight of truTV, reporting to him. Weitz will manage all three networks and oversee the creative executive teams and development for all three networks in New York and Los Angeles. Concurrently, Thom Hinkle has been upped to head of original content for all three networks.
