Jessica Lewis Jessica has worked in theater for nearly ten years. She has worked in theatrical production for the producers of STOMP, DAMN YANKEES, NUNSENSE, DINNER WITH FRIENDS and more, and for over 5 years has been involved in the Whoopi Goldberg-produced White Noise, having discovered the production at the 2006 New York Musical Theatre Festival. She has since helped foster its growth through multiple large-scale workshops and two major commercial productions as an Associate Producer. After dedicating many years to theatrical and live entertainment production work that has taken her all over the world in 2009 she assumed the post of Senior Managing Editor at BroadwayWorld.com, the largest theater site on the net, for which she controls operations, routinely interviews Broadway's A-list talent and films/edits a bulk of the sites popular BWW TV content. She is a graduate of Brown University and has worked professionally in production for the Brown University Department of Theatre, Speech and Dance, Rights and Reasons Theatre, the New York Theatre Workshop and more.

On October 26th and October 27th, a private industry reading of the musical A Day in the Life of Gloucester will take place, featuring Tony Award winner Sutton Foster (Shrek), and Broadway vets Christopher Sieber (Shrek) and Lenny Wolpe (The Drowsy Chaperone). Lonny Price (A Class Act) will direct the reading at Chelsea Studios. The musical features a book by Bob Walton with music and lyrics by Jim Walton.

For all those out there who have ever been deterred from a career in show biz due to instability can now have restored hope, thanks to one Dennis O'Connell and his fellow stagehands. According to a report on Bloomberg.com this morning, O'Connell, who oversees props at Carnegie Hall earned a whopping $530,044 in salary and benefits during the 2008 fiscal year, while four of his colleagues - two carpenters and two electricians - had an average income of $430,543 this same year, as reported in Carnegie Hall's tax return.

A panel of prominent American playwrights including Kia Corthron, Lisa Kron and Adam Rapp, will discuss with celebrated photographer Ken Collins how they approach creating portraits with words and with a camera, respectively at a one-time-only event entitled 'Face to Face: Portraits in Theatre and Photography' on Monday, October 26 at 7 p.m. at New Dramatists (424 W. 44 St.) in Manhattan. Presented by the Off-Broadway theater company, The Play Company as part of its Idea Lab series, in conjunction with Umbrage Editions, the evening will also feature brief excerpts from the playwrights' work along with an exhibition of photographs from 'In Their Company,' a series of black and white portraits by Mr. Collins that portray some of America's most distinguished playwrights. A reception follows in the New Dramatists Library.
