19 cast members of the original 1981 Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim's MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG, including leading actors Lonny Price, Ann Morrison and Jim Walton, were reunited at New York City Center for a reception and performance of the City Center Encores! production last night, February 14. Manhattan Theatre Club has announced that WIT, the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Margaret Edson, directed by Lynne Meadow will extend at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. The limited engagement must close after the evening performance on Saturday, March 17.

In his play AS YOU LIKE IT, the character Jacques has the famous monologue which begins with the famous words, "All the world's a stage and the men and women merely players…" To explorer Richard Wiese, the words ring true and his new television series BORN TO EXPLORE vividly prove that Shakespeare knew what he was talking about. Each episode of the show provides the viewers with stunning scenery, high drama and a true exploration of the human condition. It's television at its best.

Broadway's LEAP OF FAITH is new musical based on the motion picture 'Leap of Faith,' produced by Paramount Pictures Corporation and written by Janus Cercone. Rehearsals now underway for the new Broadway production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's legendary seven-time Tony Award-winning musical, EVITA,.The musical stars Olivier Award-winning Argentinean actress Elena Roger making her Broadway debut as Eva Peron, world renowned music artist Ricky Martin as Che and Tony Award-winner Michael Cerveris as Juan Peron. The cast will also feature Christina DeCicco as the alternate for Eva Peron (Weds eve; Sat mat), Max von Essen as Magaldi and Rachel Potter as the Mistress. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Michael Grandage and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford, EVITA begins previews on March 12 and Opening Night is set for April 5, 2012. The UK Daily Mail is reporting that Scottish rocker Paolo Nutini is being courted to write the score and possibly the lyrics to a musical adaptation of the film Nowhere Boy, based on John Lennon.

Idina Menzel's new PBS concert special, 'Barefoot at the Symphony' - filmed in Toronto on November 17-18, 2011 with the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony at Koerner Hall - features husband Taye Diggs and legendary composer/conductor Marvin Hamlisch. E! Online has just revealed that Spring Awakening's original Wendla, GLEE star Lea Michele, is being courted for her old role in the upcoming film version of the show. E! reports that the film's director, McG, told them that they're hoping the film's schedule can coincide with her GLEE committments to make this happen.

The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess is now on Broadway with a cast led by four-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald (Ragtime, "Private Practice") as Bess, Drama Desk nominee Norm Lewis (Les Miserables, Sondheim on Sondheim) as Porgy and two-time Tony nominee David Alan Grier (Race, "In Living Color") as Sporting Life. The New York Times has just revealed that the production will extend its run through September 30, 2012, due to both critical and box office success. The production was originally scheduled to close on July 8, 2012. The news was released by producers, who have emailed groups sales reps informing them of the extension.

Yale Repertory Theatre will open the world premiere of GOOD GOODS by Christina Anderson, directed by Tina Landau tonight, February 9. The production began performances on February 3 and runs through February 25 at Yale Repertory Theatre. Check out the production photos below!
