Kelli O'Hara to Star in New FAR FROM HEAVEN Musical at Williamstown Theatre Festival This SummerFebruary 24, 2012According to the New York Times, Playwrights Horizons will present FAR FROM HEAVEN, a new musical with book by Tony Award winner and two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out, Three Days of Rain), music by Tony Award nominee Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens) and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Michael Korie (Grey Gardens, The Grapes of Wrath), in Spring 2013. The show will also play Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer. The musical was adapted from the acclaimed, award-winning 2002 Focus Features/Vulcan Productions motion picture Far From Heaven, written and directed by Todd Haynes.

Last night, Fallon featured Roundabout Theatre Company's 2011 Tony Award winning musical 'Anything Goes.' Sutton Foster took the 'Late Night' stage to sing a rousing selection from this saucy production set on the S.S. American. Sara Jean Ford, Stephanie Rothenberg are New 'Smitty'/ 'Rosemary' in HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, Feb. 28February 24, 2012BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Sara Jean Ford (THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA) will step into the shoes of 'Smitty' in HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING. Ford will be replacing Mary Faber, who originated the role in the revival.
Additional cast changes over a the Al Hirschfeld Theatre will also take effect on February 28 for the role of 'Rosemary Pillkington' when current star Rose Hemingway takes a leave from the production through April 29. No reason for her hiatus has been announced. Hemingway's understudy, Stephanie Rothenberg, will assume the role on her absence.

"Follies" stars four-time Tony Award nominee Jan Maxwell as Phyllis Rogers Stone, Tony Award winner Victoria Clark, two-time Tony Award nominee Danny Burstein as Buddy Plummer, three-time Emmy Award nominee Ron Raines as Benjamin Stone and Olivier Award winner Elaine Paige as Carlotta Campion. Maxwell, Burstein, Raines and Paige are all returning to the roles they originated on Broadway.
Magic Johnson to Bring SOUL TRAIN to Broadway?February 23, 2012According to EW.com, Soul Train, the popular musical variety show that ran in syndication from October 1971 to March 2006, may be getting Broadway treatment, thanks to Magic Johnson. The former NBA star-turned-entrepreneur purchased the Soul Train brand in 2011 and has been considering reviving it via TV, print and stage outlets, among other ideas.
