690 SOUTH: THE SHACKLETON PROJECT Set for Capitol Center for the Arts May 2, ConcordApril 4, 2012A young puppet theater company called The Phantom Limb has teamed with the renowned Kronos Quartet to produce an historical reenactment of the harrowing 1914 trans-Antarctic expedition by Earnest Shackleton and 27 staunch souls. The result is 690 South: The Shackleton Project, a marionette performance that takes viewers on an artful, emotional journey. It will be presented free of charge at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Concord NH's Capitol Center for the Arts.
First Draft Announce EVERYTHING LIVES IN A CLOUD Readings for April 17+24April 4, 2012First Draft at Charter Theater - a nonprofit organization devoted to developing theater audiences alongside new plays; supporting DC-based artists; and partnering with theaters looking to produce new work - announced today that it will present two readings this month of the new play, "everything lives in a cloud," by DC-based playwright and Charter Associate Artistic Director, Chris Stezin. The April readings will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17th at Theater on the Run in Arlington; and 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24th at the Arts Club of Washington. The popular First Draft series combines the reading of a play with a guided, post-show audience discussion.
