To raise money for music and children's charities, concert pianist Anthony Hewitt - the Olympianist - will cycle with piano 'in tow' from Land's End to John O'Groats to complete 1,200 miles in 21 days. With a piano trailing in the BeethoVAN, the avid cyclist will cover up to 100 miles a day, giving 27 concerts en route. The Herculean journey across Britain's hilly countryside will see Anthony ascend more than 20,000 metres - the equivalent of more than twice the elevation of Mt. Everest. He will perform in established venues and remote locations with his piano on a pop-up stage on the back of the BeethoVAN.

The theatrics of Broadway are coming to the California African American Museum (CAAM) during their Target Sundays program, Broadway Bound, on Sunday, May 6, 2012, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. The event co-hosted by two-time Obie Award winner, Charlayne Woodard and actor Jeffrey Anderson-Gunter will feature veteran actors, singers and dancers of Broadway and an art workshop, hosted by local artist and educator Teresa Tolliver, beginning at noon.

This movement-based spectacular tells the story of a woman combating a variety of sleep disorders, phantasmagorical night terrors, hypnotic horrors, and other, visually stunning conjurings from the subconscious depths of her own disturbed mind. Symphony of Shadows merges striking elements of circus and aerial arts, dance and movement, burlesque, and operatic productions to vividly illustrate its storyline in a genre defying form, which 'evokes a live-action silent film.'
