The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director), in association with David Shor announced today that the world premiere of SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE - THE MUSICAL will be rescheduled from the closing production of the current 2011 - 2012 season to a slot in the 2012 - 2013 season. The production which replaces SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE - THE MUSICAL this June will be announced at a later date.

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will hold auditions for the musical, Legally Blonde at the Arvada Center, April 5 and 6; and in New York City, April 9 -11. Legally Blonde will be directed by Gavin Mayer, with musical direction by David Nehls and choreography by Kitty Skillman Hilsabeck. The Arvada Center Artistic Producer is Rod A. Lansberry.

Next Thursday, a lineup of Nuyo poets and musicians will perform a free show at Barnes and Noble Tribeca to kick off a week-long book fair; proceeds from the fair will benefit the Nuyo. The show is hosted by Advocate of Wordz and features slam poets Aja Monet, Witness, Andrea Harrison and Joseph D. Robbins, with music by Aurora and Mighty Third Rail. The show starts at 7PM on 2/23; Barnes and Noble Tribeca is located at 97 Warren Street, near the Chambers Street station of the 1, 2 and 3 trains.

Recently, the Center for Puppetry Arts arrived at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport with its new 'World on a String: Global Puppetry' exhibit. The exhibit features 51 puppets on loan from the Center for Puppetry Arts and is located inside the airport in the walkway connecting the main security area and Concourse T. Through this fall, travelers can enjoy a look at the evolving art form of puppetry.

Along with director Ellen David, the cast and design team features Montreal's finest theatre artists from both the English and French sectors including actors Daniel Brochu (presently in Scientific Americans at the Segal Centre), Catherine De Seve (previously seen in Dangerous Liaisons at the Segal Centre and long-time member of L'auberge du chien noir on Radio-Canada), Sheena Gaze-Deslandes (The Daily Miracle, Infinitheatre) and Howard Rosenstein (hot off his praised portrayal of lawyer Hugh Rose in Ars Poetica, Infinitheatre).
