The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director), in association with David Shor announced today that the world premiere of SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE - THE MUSICAL will be rescheduled from the closing production of the current 2011 - 2012 season to a slot in the 2012 - 2013 season. The production which replaces SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE - THE MUSICAL this June will be announced at a later date.

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will hold auditions for the musical, Legally Blonde at the Arvada Center, April 5 and 6; and in New York City, April 9 -11. Legally Blonde will be directed by Gavin Mayer, with musical direction by David Nehls and choreography by Kitty Skillman Hilsabeck. The Arvada Center Artistic Producer is Rod A. Lansberry.

Among the awardees for the 54th annual Grammy Awards, which were announced Saturday evening in Los Angeles, was the Naxos Records recording of the Florentine Opera Company's 2010 Midwest Premiere of Elmer Gantry. The 2012 Grammy wins were Best Classical Contemporary Composition andBest Engineered Album, Classical.

The 'invaluable' and 'indispensable' Metropolitan Playhouse--2011 Obie Award winner--presents a revival of Deep Are the Roots, by Arnaud d'Usseau and James Gow. First staged in 1945 and revived in 1960, the play now receives the first professional production in the city in over 50 years, directed by Michael Hardart at Metropolitan's home. KMP Artists presents vocalist, actor and songwriter Spider Saloff and her one-woman musical, "The Roar of the Butterfly" at Victory Gardens' Richard Christiansen Theater May 2 - 20, 2012. In the tradition of Lilly Tomlin and Tracey Ullman, Saloff portrays eight different characters in this hysterical and moving new musical comedy.

Next Thursday, a lineup of Nuyo poets and musicians will perform a free show at Barnes and Noble Tribeca to kick off a week-long book fair; proceeds from the fair will benefit the Nuyo. The show is hosted by Advocate of Wordz and features slam poets Aja Monet, Witness, Andrea Harrison and Joseph D. Robbins, with music by Aurora and Mighty Third Rail. Recently, the Center for Puppetry Arts arrived at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport with its new 'World on a String: Global Puppetry' exhibit. The exhibit features 51 puppets on loan from the Center for Puppetry Arts and is located inside the airport in the walkway connecting the main security area and Concourse T. Through this fall, travelers can enjoy a look at the evolving art form of puppetry.

Following a sold out run in Los Angeles, NAACP Award winner Kenyetta Lethridge's critically acclaimed social drama, Innocent Flesh, exposing the stark realities of the sexual exploitation, forced teen prostitution & trafficking of young children all across America, will bow in New York at Actors Temple Theater. The look at girls "in the life" that is dark yet funny begins previews March 1. Opening night is March 15.

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company (Carl Forsman, Artistic Director/Damon Chua, Executive Director) presents John Cunningham, Kathleen Chalfant and Kate Turnbull in Tina Howe's Painting Churches, the 1983 Pulitzer Prize finalist. The production will star Richard Chamberlain in the role of "Dr. Austin Sloper," Heather Tom as his daughter "Catherine Sloper" and Julia Duffy as Dr. Sloper's sister "Lavinia Penniman." THE HEIRESS by Ruth and Augustus Goetz (suggested by the Henry James novel Washington Square), will be directed by Damaso Rodriguez and performs April 24 - May 20, 2012.

The New York Society Library and Razors Edge Productions will presenting award-winning actor Bill Connington (ZOMBIE), Emmy-nominated Paul Anthony Stewart (THE GUILDING LIGHT), and D. H. Johnson (DODSWORTH) in a staged reading of the award-winning comedy ART by Yasmina Reza. The play will be directed by Dan Cordle.
