The casting of the OFF-BROADWAY American Premiere of "THE CITY CLUB," an original Blues and Jazz Musical about the indisputable intoxication of music, is complete. The new musical will star KRISTEN MARTIN as Crystal Labelle, ANDREW PANDALEON as Chaz Davenport, ANA HOFFMAN as Maddy, PETER BRADBURY as The Lieutenant and KENNY BRAWNER as Parker Brown with AUTUMN GUZZARDI as Rose, KAITLIN MESH as Lily, PATRICK O'NEILL as Jacobus "Jake" Olsen, EMILY TYRA as Candy and ROBERT J TOWNSEND as Prince Royale.

Sean Patton is a New York based actor and comedian. He was born and raised in New Orleans and cut his teeth doing stand-up in the comedy scene there. Since moving to New York, he has performed at established comedy clubs such as Comix, Gotham and the Comedy Cellar. His comedy focuses more on originality, personal perspective and tales glorifying the beauty of human flaw rather than the classic set-up punchline joke-telling.

Raven-Symoné will take over the leading role of Deloris Van Cartier in the hit Broadway musical, SISTER ACT, beginning performances on Tuesday, March 27. Ms. Symoné will take over the role from Tony and Olivier Award nominee Patina Miller, who will give her final performance on Sunday, March 18. SISTER ACT, which will celebrate its one-year Anniversary on Broadway on April 20, is playing at the Broadway Theater. Gloucester Stage Company will present Lee Meriwether in her adaptation of THE WOMEN OF SPOON RIVER, June 2-4, 2012. The show is an intimate collection of female literary portraits by Edgar Lee Masters performed by Meriwether set in a small town in Illinois at the turn of the century.

The Utah Shakespeare Festival recently announced the casting of J. Michael Bailey, a Utah actor, to play the lead role of Jean Valjean in the epic musical Les Miserables. After conducting a national casting search in New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles, artistic directors David Ivers and Brian Vaughn found Bailey in the Festival's own backyard.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) presents a new world premiere adaptation of Sophocles' tragic classic greek tragedy, Antigone, which pits the courageous title character against King Creon and the laws of Thebes in defense of her brother's honor with fatal consequences. Antigone will run from March 22nd to April 15th every Thursday through Sunday except Easter (4/8) at Maryland Ensemble Theatre (31 W. Patrick St. Frederick MD 21701). All shows are at 8pm except Sundays at 7pm and one Sunday matinee at 2pm on April 1 which will be followed by a talk back with the writer, director, cast and special guest Linda Pappas Funsch, a Middle East scholar from Frederick Community College . Cornelia Kubler Kavanagh, in collaboration with Dr. Gareth Lawson of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, will be presenting THE PTEROPOD PROJECT: charismatic microfauna, May 22 - June 16, 2012. The exhibition consists of 11 sculptures of pteropods (also known as 'Sea Butterflies'), tiny marine animals at the bottom of the marine food web that are threatened by ocean acidification. Highly abstracted and enlarged between 400 and 2,000 times, Kavanagh's pteropods are a celebration of the beauty of these microorganisms, as well as a warning about a little understood consequence of global warming.

The Morrison Center announces a new 1,000 plus seating configuration that will provide university users, local arts groups and national promoters with a reduced seating capacity option. By masking off the theatre's balcony with a dedicated pipe and drape curtain system, in conjunction with modified lighting settings, the 2,037-seat venue is transformed into an intimate proscenium stage that can effectively seat between 900 and 1,300 patrons utilizing only the venue's orchestra level.
