Music Director Jacques Lacombe and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (NJSO) present a special concert program at Carnegie Hall on Wednesday, May 9, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the second-annual Spring for Music Festival. The performance marks Lacombe's Carnegie Hall debut. Pianist Marc-Andre Hamelin performs Busoni's Piano Concerto. The NJSO gives the Carnegie Hall premiere of Weill's Symphony No. 1, "Berliner," and soprano Hila Plitmann joins the Orchestra for Varese's Nocturnal. Both the Busoni and Varese works feature the men of the Westminster Symphonic Choir.

When they are visited by daughter Chelsea with her fiance and his son in tow, the often turbulent relationship the young woman shared with her father growing up and the difficulties faced by a couple in the twilight years of a long marriage.

Aurora Theatre continues the 2011-2012 Harvel Lab Series with the Spanish language production of El Insolito Caso de Miss Piña Colada (The Preposterous Case of Miss Piña Colada) by Carlos Ferrari. This comedy runs April 12 - 29, 2012. In the play, penniless widow Ofelia has been left with nothing but her pride by her deceased good-for-nothing husband. To regain some of her luster in "society," she will stop at nothing to have her daughter, Loreley, crowned queen of the Miss Piña Colada beauty pageant. Ofelia pawns her belongings, fends off debt collectors and even causes her children to break the law. This April, Aurora Theatre becomes home to the hijinks of a widow trying to keep up appearances in the midst of diminishing fortunes.

Featuring music inspired by everything from Gershwin to Green Day, Musical of the Living Dead follows the lives of ten very different people trapped in a farmhouse during the breakout of a zombie apocalypse - all brought together seeking refuge from a ravenous horde of brain-eating (and dancing) zombies.

On Tuesday, March 20, Boca Grove Golf and Tennis Club, a premier golf club in Boca Raton, Florida, welcomed back recent recipient of the Fred Ebb Award and Tony Award Nominee, Jeff Blumenkrantz and his fellow Broadway actor, Laura Patinkin. The two performers showcased their talents for a crowd of more than 200 Boca Grove members and guests. The intimate, two person show featured a number of beloved Broadway standards from shows such as 'Sound of Music,' 'West Side Story,' 'Gypsy,' 'Cabaret' and more. They also performed a handful of Blumenkrantz's original songs.
