Gingold Theatrical Group's PROJECT SHAW, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, continued its 11th Season with George Bernard Shaw's GENEVA. Written and first produced in 1938, Geneva is a wildly satirical political comedy. In it, a German Jew arrives in Geneva demanding a summit meeting designed to contain the increasingly dangerous behavior of three dictators, Herr Battler, Signor Bombardone, and General Flanco (parodies of Hitler, Mussolini and Franco). The three are brought before the International Criminal Court of the League of Nations to justify their atrocities.

Directed by Ciaran O'Reilly, Shining City also features Billy Carter (The Weir, Port Authority), Lisa Dwan (the acclaimed Beckett Trilogy), andJames Russell (Port Authority, Juno and the Paycock).

Tenor Ronan Tynan just returned to Westchester Broadway Theatre on May 17th, 2016. He is known for his versatile range of repertoire. It includes the operatic, oratorio, concert, and popular music genres. Tynan has performed in concert halls across the United States and internationally including Metropolitan Opera House, Carnegie Hall, Avery Fischer Hall, Lincoln Center and Radio City Music Hall. He has appeared on many television shows and is famous for his performances of 'God Bless America' at Yankee Stadium during the seventh-inning stretch. In the wake of 9/11, he performed at benefits and memorial services for New York's Finest and Bravest.

The 2016 Fred and Adele Astaire Awards gala was held just last night, May 16, to honor outstanding dance and choreography on Broadway, off-Broadway, and in film, at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place). The Encores! production of Do I Hear a Waltz?, the romantic, rarely-seen 1965 musical that marked the only collaboration of Richard Rodgers and Stephen Sondheim, just conluded its seven performance run over the weekend. It starred Claybourne Elder, Melissa Errico, Sarah Hunt, Zachary Infante, Cass Morgan, Richard Poe, Michael Rosen, Sarah Stiles, and Richard Troxell.
