Last night, September 19, 2016, The New York Pops returned to Feinstein's/54 Below for a cabaret performance starring Tony nominees Montego Glover and Tony Yazbeck. The night was an intimate evening of dining and entertainment led by Music Director Steven Reineke as two of Broadway's most talented stars performed some of their favorite tunes. The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, on Saturday 17 September opened the New2NY Series presentation of the new musical How to Be an American!, a political cabaret based on Plunkitt of Tammany Hall-A Series of Very Plain Talks on Very Practical Politics, adapted by T. In celebration of the 25th anniversary of 'Beauty and the Beast,' The Walt Disney Studios and the Film Society of Lincoln Center presented an exclusive screening of the beloved animated classic at Alice Tully Hall. It was here, in September 1991, that a work-in-progress version of 'Beauty and the Beast' was first screened at the New York Film Festival -- and received a standing ovation. This 'tale as old as time' went on to break ground as the first animated feature film to receive an Academy Award® nomination, and twenty-five years later audiences of all ages continue to fall in love with this enchanting tale, its captivating characters and unforgettable, award-winning music score and original song, 'Beauty and the Beast.'

Atlantic Theater Company presents Kecia Lewis (Mother Courage, Once on This Island) and Rebecca Naomi Jones (American Idiot, Hedwig and the Angry Inch) in the world premiere production of George Brant's play with music, Marie and Rosetta, directed by Atlantic Artistic Director Neil Pepe. Marie and Rosetta will play a limited engagement through Sunday, October 2, 2016, Off Broadway at Atlantic Theater Company's Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20Street). The 2nd-annual Voices for the Voiceless: Stars for Foster Kids concert was just held last night, September 12th at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. This special event, presented by Beachbody.com, Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, brought together the brightest stars of stage and screen to raise awareness about the plight of kids in foster care, particularly those aged 13 to 21 whom many consider 'unadoptable' because of their age.

Mackenzie Ziegler ('Dance Moms') and Casey Simpson (Nickelodeon's 'Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn') hosted Lyrics For Life on Sat, Sept 10, 2016 at Symphony Space. Held on World Suicide Prevention Day, the event aims to raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental health. Proceeds benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the nation's largest non-profit dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.

The National Theatre production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, the Tony Award-winning new play by Simon Stephens, adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel, will soon launch its North American tour.

Last night at The Harry Chapin Lakeside Theater at Eisenhower Park, Nassau County Department of Parks and Recreation presented Neil Berg's 100+ Years of Broadway for the 15th year! Over 10,000 people were treated to a concert featuring five acclaimed Broadway performers singing a mixture of Broadway and pop/rock songs that fit the climate of what is happening in our world today.
