Jeffrey Finn Productions announces a special return holiday engagement of THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER for two weeks only at the Kennedy Center's newly-renovated Eisenhower Theater, Tuesday, December 23, 2008 through Sunday, January 4, 2009. The engagement marks the first return of the special concert since a sold out holiday run at the Kennedy Center Opera House in December 2004. The official Opening Night will be Saturday, December 27 at 7:30 p.m.

In honor of the opening of the revitalized Father Duffy Square and the new TKTS booth, the Theatre Development Fund (TDF) and the Times Square Alliance (TSA) will host the Inaugural lighting of the red steps under which the TKTS booth sits, in celebration of the Broadway community. This will mark the first time the newly designed glowing red staircase will be lit for the public.

Arnie Burton, the star of the hit Broadway play The 39 Steps, joins The Deconstructive Theatre Project's one-night-only staged reading of Michel Marc Bouchard's play, Lilies, or The Revival of a Romantic Drama. Lilies performs in the historic Sanctuary of Middle Church, built in 1872, in the East Village, on Monday, October 20th at 8pm.

Youngblood, Ensemble Studio Theatre's collective of emerging playwrights under 30 (RJ Tolan/Graeme Gillis, Artistic Directors), will celebrate its fifteenth season this year with Asking For Trouble, the biggest play festival in their history. Steppenwolf Theatre Company continues its 2008-2009 season, an exploration of the imagination, with a special engagement of Dublin Carol, by Conor McPherson, directed by ensemble member Amy Morton. Neal Hefti, a jazz arranger and composer of the the Batman and The Odd Couple theme songs died on Saturday October 11th, 2008 from complications due to cancer. He was 85 years old.
