The 18th Philadelphia Film Festival presented by the non-profit Philadelphia Film Society, is seeking entries and submissions for their upcoming March 26 - April 7, 2009 programming. The deadline for submissions for the 18th Philadelphia Film Festival is December 31, 2008.

The critically acclaimed 4th Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival will take place this weekend October 17th, 18th and 19th when The Town Hall (123 West 43 Street) presents a three-day festival of Broadway stars and song. The festival is created, hosted and written by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall.

Bristol Riverside Theatre continues its Bridges Informance Series with renowned theatre artist Teo Castellanos tonight, October 17th at 7:30 PM. Castellanos' appearance will continue to introduce audiences to innovative performances as BRT gears up for the February 2009 World Premiere of What You Will, a BRT original urban theatre adaptation of Shakespeare's comedy Twelfth Night.

Noted director Robert Lepage makes his Met debut with a technologically innovative new production of Hector Berlioz's masterpiece, La Damnation de Faust, opening on November 7. Music Director James Levine will conduct the first staging of the work at the Met since 1906, with Marcello Giordani in the title role, Susan Graham as Marguerite, and John Relyea as Méphistophélès.

The end of summer marks the close of the classical repertory season at The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum. However, the Botanicum continues its theatrical exploration by supporting new artistic voices through its ongoing development series for playwrights, 'Botanicum Seedlings.' NCTC presents the San Francisco premiere of As Bees in Honey Drown by Douglas Carter Beane. The show previews November 7 -14, opens November 15, (Press Night is Friday, November 14th) and runs through December 21, 2008: Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.
