Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, Chicago's only Equity theatre devoted to the work of women theatre artists, is proud to announce American Wee-Pie as the second production in its 2012-2013 Season of Reinvention. On January 5, Patrick Stewart and Renée Fleming displayed their comedic sides as co-hosts of Lyric Opera of Chicago's The Second City Guide to the Opera at the Civic Opera House in Chicago. The stage, film and television actor joined the star soprano, members of the Windy City's legendary comedy troupe The Second City, and Lyric Opera of Chicago singers and musicians for a hugely successful and very funny opera-themed comedy-variety show, where they entertained a sold-out audience of more than 3,700 people.

Cirque du Soleil's Quidam, which has been experienced by millions worldwide, will bring an international cast of 50 world-class acrobats, musicians, singers and characters to Houston at the Toyota Center March 6 - 10

January 5 through 13, Canyon Moon Theatre, Sedona's professional regional theater, brings the excitement of new play work to northern Arizona at the first annual Sedona New Play Festival. COCA presents a joint mother-daughter exhibition by Connie Swinson and Sara Swinson in the Millstone Gallery January 25, through March 3, 2013. NiCori Studios and Productions in association with Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center announces a new installment of the monthly concert series, 'Music at the Mansion', on Sunday, January 27, at 3pm. The Ridgefield Theater Barn is proud to present the world premiere of the pre-New York workshop of Ruthless! The Musical, by Joel Paley (book & lyrics) and Marvin Laird (composer). The creative duo direct and musically direct this production, respectively, and have re-worked their original 1993 Off-Broadway hit in anticipation of an upcoming run in New York. Performances will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm, January 17th through the 27th, with Sunday matinees at 2pm.
