ustralian choreographer Meryl Tankard returns to New York with one of her most gripping works to date. The Oracle is set to Stravinsky's seminal composition for the infamous 1913 ballet The Rite of Spring, which caused riots at its Paris premiere. The Oracleexplores the conflicting forces of nature and man, masculinity and femininity, violence and nurturing, strength and vulnerability. An intense solo for virtuosic performer Paul White, one of Australia's greatest dancers and incoming member of Pina Bausch's Tanztheater Wuppertal, The Oracle includes haunting visual and set designer by Régis Lansac. The U.S. premiere will take place on February 5 at 7:30pm at the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, NJ, as part of a seven-city U.S. tour.

Youth America Grand Prix presents 'Creating the Dance with Marcelo Gomes' on Monday February 4 at 6:30pm. The evening will begin with a panel discussion, followed by a rare and fascinating peak into the collaborative process essential to create a dance that is set to music, and conclude with an informal reception, all at New York City Center Studios, Studio 4 (130 West 56th Street, NYC).

Reality meets make-believe in Blackfriars Theatre's production of David Mamet's hilarious play, A Life in the Theatre. This classic comedy takes us into the lives of two actors; Robert, a self-important, but insecure theatre veteran, and John, an eager and young up-and comer. Through a series of unrelenting comical scenes, we see the estrangement of youth from age and the wider, inevitable and endless cycle of life, in and out of theatre.

Artistic Director Michael Trent will present a world premiere in February 2013, loveloss, created in collaboration with the company.

Shakespeare's words come alive again in the reading of Richard II for the 12th Annual Shakespeare and the Law Series. Co-sponsored by Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, law firm McCarter & English LLP, the Boston Lawyer's Chapter of the Federalist Society, and Suffolk University, the reading boasts an all-star cast from Boston's legal community, including former federal judge Nancy Gertner as Richard II. A panel discussion on the legal and political consequences of when a king or a president goes too far follows the reading. The participants will discuss the uses and abuses of executive power by Presidents Obama and George H. W. Bush.

Live at The RRazz, San Francisco's premier nightclub, presents the Bay Area debut of the celebrated entertainer CLINT HOLMES from January 22 to 27. "This Thing Called Love," which just earned rave reviews at the legendary Cafe Caryle in New York, features the music of Cole Porter and Paul Simon. The New York Timescalled the show "stirring and dramatic." Using the words and music of Porter and Simon, Holmes will explore, examine and compare the two songwriter's views on the universal subject of love. The evening includes such songs as Porter's "Get Out of Town" juxtaposed with Simon's "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover," and Simon's contemporary classic "Slip Sliding Away" alongside the Porter standard "I Concentrate on You," among others. Mr. Holmes will be accompanied by a band led by his Musical Director/Arranger Jeffrey Neiman. The evening will be directed by Larry Moss.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin announced today the cast for Putting It Together, running January 11 - February 3, 2013 at the Addison Theatre Centre. The cast includes Diana Sheehan, Bob Hess, Alex Organ, Sarah Elizabeth Smith and John Campione. Making their WaterTower Theatre debuts in this production are Sarah Elizabeth Smith and John Campione.

On Saturday, February 9 at 5pm, River Oaks Chamber Orchestra ("ROCO") will perform "A Timeless Feast with Brandenburg No. 2" featuring Joseph Swensen as guest concertmaster and violin soloist and the 40-piece River Oaks Chamber Orchestra. This concert will be ROCO's annual "conductorless" event.
