Hugh Panaro is ending his run as the Phantom in Broadway's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. Before playing the phantom, Panaro played the role of Raoul, which he played for 900 performances. As the the Phantom, Panaro played 2227 performances. His fellow cast members did the math and found that he has appeared in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA for over 3000 performances.

NBC won the night among the Big 4 in adults 18-49, taking six of six half-hours with the #1 and #2 shows of the night on those nets, “The Voice” and “The Blacklist.” For the night, NBC was #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all key demographics – adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

Disney Channel to Begin Production of TEEN BEACH MOVIE 2

Disney Channel will begin production in July on 'Teen Beach Movie 2,' the sequel to last summer's 'Teen Beach Movie,' a Disney Channel Original Movie that ranks as cable TV's all-time #2 movie in Total Viewers. Ross Lynch ('Austin & Ally' and Hollywood Records' R5), Maia Mitchell ('The Fosters'), Grace Phipps ('Baby Daddy'), Garrett Clayton ('The Fosters') and John DeLuca ('Twisted') will reprise their starring roles as Brady, McKenzie, Lela, Tanner and Butchy, respectively. Additional casting will be announced shortly. 'Teen Beach Movie 2' will premiere in 2015 on Disney Channel.The cast was reunited Saturday, April 26 at the Radio Disney Music Awards where the announcement was made during 'ARDY's Pre-Show Party,' which is now available on WATCH Disney Channel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal has optioned the rights for Gregory Maguire's newest fantasy novel. Marc Platt is joining the project as producer. Platt also produced Broadway's Wicked. The novel, Spoon and Egg, is set to hit stores September 6.

NBC's DATELINE Matched NBC's Highest Adult 18-49 Rating in the Slot

'Dateline Saturday Night Mystery” (0.9/3 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall) matched NBC's highest adult 18-49 rating in the slot, excluding sports in 19 months (since Sept. 15, 2012). In total viewers, 'Dateline Saturday Night Mystery” jumped +15% week to week (to 5.173 million from 4.502 million) to the show's biggest audience in five weeks (since March 22). 'DatelineSaturday Night Mystery” tied for the #1 non-sports program in the time period among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and was #1 among all programs on those nets in women 18-49 and women 25-54.

HBO Produces Documentary About the Two Sides of Activist Larry Kramer

According to The New York Times, HBO is producing a documentary about Larry Kramer. As of now it is tentatively being called Larry Kramer: In Love and Anger. The film is set to be released sometime in 2015.

Disney Channel has ordered a fourth season of the popular comedy series 'Austin & Ally.' It was announced today by Adam Bonnett, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide. Starring Ross Lynch, Laura Marano, Raini Rodriguez and Calum Worthy, 'Austin & Ally' ranked as 2013's #1 series on TV among Tweens and the #2 series among Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11. 2014 to-date, it is TV's #1 series in its primary timeslot among Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14. It was created and is executive-produced by Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert.

“Dateline NBC” (1.2/5 in 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) is currently reporting its highest results in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 (1.7 rating) in the 8-9 p.m. hour in four weeks, since March 8 (1.3 in 18-49, 1.8 in 25-54), pending updates. “Dateline” is currently +up 33% in adults 18-49 versus the 0.9/4 for last week's 8 p.m. encore, up +31% in adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.3) and up +15% in total viewers (6.006 million vs. 5.240 million).
