Christina Mancuso

Christina Mancuso, a mother of 3, has traveled to well over 70 cities on various Broadway National Tours.  She is now residing in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio after spending a year in NYC to support her daughter's Broadway debut. Besides writing, traveling, and mothering, she is a 13-time marathon runner (including the 2015 Boston Marathon), freelance artist, classical violinist, and a previous Paralegal with over 20 years of writing and research experience.  Mancuso is listed in 'Who's Who Worldwide' and has been recognized for "Outstanding Leadership in Media" by the International Women's Leadership Association.

Nazarian was honored for her philanthropy during a gala luncheon held on March 30, 2017 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

Future Met Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts his first Wagner opera with the company, Der Fliegende Holländer, beginning April 25. The opera, which has not been seen at the Met since 2010, featuresMichael Volle as the Dutchman, the ghostly sailor damned to sail the seas in search of the love that will set him free. Amber Wagner sings the role of Senta, opposite Jay Hunter Morris as the huntsman Erik. The cast also features Dolora Zajick as Senta's nurse Mary with Ben Bliss as the Steersman and Franz-Josef Selig as Senta's father Daland.

Both concerts feature a pair of 20th century classics that draw inspiration from the past: Stravinsky's 'Dumbarton Oaks' is a sparkling showpiece for chamber orchestra that alludes to Bach's Brandenburg Concertos and is the final work the composer wrote in Europe before immigrating to the United States. Prokofiev's 'Classical' Symphony is a witty homage to the symphonic idiom of Haydn and Mozart. This project is part of the series Using Walls, Floors, and Ceilings, which brings contemporary art to the Museum's Skirball Lobby. The work on view mimics the simple, rack-like structures Suter builds to dry, store, stretch, and un-stretch her paintings, bringing an echo of her improvisatory style to New York.
