Stage and screen actor Kenneth Mars, known for his work in Mel Brooks films, has died at the age of 75. The performer passed away Saturday of pancreatic cancer at his home in Grenada Hills.

On February 5th, Tony Award winner Idina Menzel made her debut with the New York Philharmonic. During the performance, the stage and screen star performed Lady Gaga's 'Pokerface.'

Charles Fee, Producing Artistic Director of Great Lakes Theater Festival (GLTF), unveiled an expanded season to commemorate the classic theater company's fiftieth anniversary. The new season, which will include an additional sixth production, is scheduled to run from September 2011 through June 2012 at PlayhouseSquare's Hanna and Ohio Theatres. 'Since our successful move to the Hanna Theatre in 2008, we began to imagine growing to a six-play season,' said GLTF Producing Artistic Director, Charles Fee of the Festival's expanded offerings. Lifetime Television has ordered 16 half-hour episodes of an all-new docu-series featuring Emmy® Award-winning actress, comedienne and best-selling author Roseanne Barr, marking her return to television as she takes on her newest endeavor, running her farm in Hawaii. The announcement was made today by Nancy Dubuc, Lifetime Networks' President and General Manager. The series will premiere on Lifetime this year.

HGTV is welcoming New York City-based interior designers Robert and Cortney Novogratz to the network's family of design experts. The Novogratzes, a successful husband and wife team acclaimed for creating wildly original spaces that showcase an unpretentious, yet funky, downtown-chic design aesthetic, have started production on a new 30 minute series that will premiere this summer on HGTV. Puppet Heap Moving Picture Company, Co., the film division of the internationally renowned puppet design company, Puppet Heap, has announced the release of their latest short film, 'I Knew An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly.'
