Award-winning Israeli playwright Motti Lerner will be in Toronto for Teatron Toronto Jewish Theatre's North American premiere of his play DECEIVED, the story of Jonathan Pollard. He is coming to Toronto directly from the New York City opening of his latest play PANGS OF THE MESSIAH.

Today, Tuesday, October 25, 2011, the Grammy® Award-winning Atlanta Symphony Orchestra released its third recording on its record label, ASO Media, for physical distribution. Distributed by Naxos of America, this all-Rachmaninov release features Music Director Robert Spano leading the Orchestra in Piano Concerto No. 3 with Garrick Ohlsson, a frequent guest and friend of the Orchestra - this release marks Mr. Ohlsson's first-ever recording of the concerto. Also on the recording is Symphonic Dances, a signature Robert Spano/Atlanta Symphony collaboration, as Mr. Spano has led the work on tour, as well as repeatedly in Atlanta with the Orchestra.

The Rose Theater closed its membership campaign on Monday, Oct. 24th having registered more than 3,000 member families for the 2011-12 season. The 3,000-family member ceiling was established prior to the start of sales and is based on seating capacity.

The scene is a fishing lodge in rural Georgia often visited by 'Froggy' LeSeuer, a British demolition expert who occasionally runs training sessions at a nearby army base. This time 'Froggy' has brought along a friend, a pathologically shy young man named Charlie who is overcome with fear at the thought of making conversation with strangers. So 'Froggy,' before departing, tells all assembled that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and speaks no English. Once alone the fun really begins, as Charlie overhears more than he should.

Maieutic Theater Works (MTWorks) is pleased to announce the world premiere production of Rich Rubin's COSTA REHAB, directed by Shelly Feldman. COSTA REHAB will play a three-week limited engagement at the Workshop Theater (312 West 36th Street, 4th Floor). Performances begin Thursday, November 3 and continue through Saturday, November 19. Opening Night is Friday, November 4 (8 p.m.).

An Taoiseach Enda Kenny, T.D. formally opened the 60th Wexford Festival Opera in front of an estimated crowd of 20,000 in a ceremony on Wexford's glorious quay front, following which a fanfare from the brass section of the Wexford Festival Orchestra triggered a spectacular fireworks display heralded the official start of the 16 day event. The 60th Anniversary Wexford Festival Opera runs until Saturday, November 5th.

On Thursday, October 27, Emory University's Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will come together for 'A Family Affair.' The event, chaired by Madeline and Howell Adams, will feature dinner and a concert. Led by Music Director Robert Spano, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will perform the U.S. premiere of Esa-Pekka Salonen's Nyx in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center. The program also will include Scriabin's Poem of Ecstasy and Rachmaninov's The Bells.

The 'invaluable' Metropolitan Playhouse--2011 Obie Award winner--presents a revival of THE JAZZ SINGER, by Samson Raphaelson. First staged in in 1925 and revived in 1927, the play now receives the first professional production in the city, directed by Laura Livingston at Metropolitan's home: 220 E 4th Street .

Goodspeed Musicals' Max Showalter Center for Education in Musical Theatre will be offering new and enlarged educational programming for the 2012 Musical Theater Institutes. The Institutes will include training in the fields of music direction, scenic painting, and dance. All four of the programs will take place on the Goodspeed Musicals campus in East Haddam, Connecticut.

This sexy world premiere comedy tells the tale of wealthy socialite Sylvia Argus, who hires a sexy young girl as a live in housekeeper. As Melody gushes about living at Sylvia's elegant house on the beach, her youth and enthusiasm awaken Sylvia's long-repressed attraction to women. Sylvia's husband, Dr. Robert Argus, arrives home surprised to find an attractive young woman having moved into his house, and fears that having Melody there will disrupt his marriage.
