Blair Ingenthron

Blair is the Weekend News Desk Editor / Special Projects Coordinator at BroadwayWorld. She has worked in various capacities in the theatre industry, with companies such as Davenport Theatrical Enterprises, Manhattan Movement & Arts Center, SpotCo, and 54 Below. 

She is also a playwright. Her plays include Cosplay (Brick Theater), The Gatekeeper, and Dead Children’s Playground. Blair holds a B.A. with Honors in English Language and Literature (Writing Concentration) from Pace University and has studied at the Einhorn School of Performing Arts at Primary Stages and The New Group with playwrights Melissa Ross, Leah Nanako Winkler, Julian Sheppard, Rogelio Martinez, and Marsha Norman, among others. She is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America.

Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, Blair currently resides in Upper Manhattan.

Radio Stations Raise Over $500,000 for HUNGERTHON

On Nov. 21-24, radio stations banded together to raise funds and awareness for WHY (World Hunger Year) during its annual Hungerthon. As of Nov. 25, $535,198 was raised to help WHY fight hunger and poverty in the U.S. at a time when hunger is dramatically on the rise.

The Franklin Performing Arts Company is pleased to announce the cast for its original Holiday Musical, Humbug! RENT Touring Company Hosts Benefit Auction for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS

Magic Circle Announces Auditions for PLAZA SUITE, 11/30 & 12/1

Magic Circle has announced auditions for Plaza Suite by Neil Simon. The show will be directed by Steve Gold, and audition dates are Monday, November 30 and Tuesday, December 1 at 7:00 PM at Tower Theatre. The show rehearses December 7, 2009 - January 21, 2010, and runs January 22 - February 20, 2010.

Michael Urie To Star in Reading of Brian Sloan's WTC VIEW 11/22 at Player's Theatre

Michael Urie ('Ugly Betty', 'The Tempermentals') is headlining a reading of Brian Sloan's 'WTC View' on November 22nd at the historic Player's Theatre in Greenwich Village. The play was originally staged as part of the 2003 NY Intl. Fringe Festival , with Urie originating the lead role. It was adapted into a 2006 film, directed by Sloan, a New York-based writer/filmmaker ('Boys Life', 'I Think I Do'). Now, the play is back on stage with its eye on a 2011 production in New York City for the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
