Rodgers and Hart's Broadway classic Pal Joey comes to the University of Miami Jerry Herman Ring Theatre this spring. Running from April 13 - 23, 2011, Pal Joey tells the story of Joey - a nightclub habitué in the habit of loving and leaving women. Despite that, he is also thoroughly lovable.

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County presents AN EVENING WITH DAME EDNA. The glittering, effervescent, tirelessly funny DAME EDNA EVERAGE will light up the John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall with her purple-hued hair and sassy Aussie wit on April 13 and 14, 2011. The Tony Award-winning dame from Down Under brings her stage show to Miami for two evenings of glitz, glamour, and her signature gladiolas. AN EVENING WITH DAME EDNA is part of the inaugural season of the 2010-2011 Adrienne Arsht Center comedy series, COMEDY PLANET.

DAVID OSBORNE TRIO Nationally known as 'The Pianist to the Presidents,' David Osborne has played for every U.S. President since Jimmy Carter, who once called him 'one of the finest pianists in the United States.' Terri's Broadway appearances have been star-turns in 'Chicago,' 'Finian's Rainbow,' 'Barnum,' 'Ain't Misbehavin',' 'Bubbling Brown Sugar,' 'Stepping Out At Radio City' (with Liza Minelli) and many others. She's also appeared in such Off-Broadway shows as 'Nunsense' and the legendary production of 'The Club' directed by Tommy Tune, as well as many regional and stock appearances.

New American Theater (NAT) has announced two new shows in their NAT Cabaret Series. Currently onstage is Songs For A New World, with performances thru April 10th. After that, two great cabaret series shows including the return of 'Elvis' and a tribute to Peggy Lee.

The University of Miami announced the return of alumnus Joshua Henry (B.M. ‘06) for an evening of theater songs and backstage stories on Sunday, April 10th at 8 PM in Gusman Hall (1314 Miller Drive, Coral Gables). The event called 'Broadway Unplugged' is a fundraiser to benefit his N.Y. theater company - Jaradoa Theater.

Recent University of Central Florida graduate and now New York city based actress, Abby Rockwell Savage, plays Aiofe in Reina Hardy's newest work, Glassheart, at Orlando Shakespeare Theatre's Playfest running April 8-17th. 'I couldn't pass up the opportunity to be back in Orlando for Playfest again,' says Savage. I've participated in it for the last three years as either a theatre goer or an actress. To me, it is an amazing example of artists coming together in the spirit of community and collaboration and has become my favorite 'must-see attraction' when I am in the city. I couldn't wait to come back and I jumped at the chance to play this role.'

The final play of Florida Stage's 24th subscription season is the world premiere of a darkly funny, electric and timely new play by Carter W. Lewis, The Cha-Cha of a Camel Spider. From the award-winning author of The Storytelling Ability of a Boy and Women Who Steal, The Cha-Cha of a Camel Spider asks the questions, what happens when our 'soldiers of fortune' outnumber our army troops and can art really make a difference in a corporatized world? The Cha-Cha of a Camel Spider continues Florida Stage's first season as the resident company in the Rinker Playhouse at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.

This funny and stylish comedy from Noel Coward, the author of Private Lives and Hay Fever, is the story of a cantankerous novelist, Charles Condomine, who is re-married but haunted - literally - by the ghost of his late first wife, Elvira. When a 'happy medium', one Madame Arcati, conjures up the specter of his former spouse, all the personalities, worldly and otherwise, clash with rib tickling results.

'The Lunchbox Theatre Series got a makeover this season,' said Florida Rep Education Director, Rachael Endrizzi. 'Not only are we performing onstage in the Historic Arcade Theatre, but we have a new lunch partner, The Morgan House. We opened the Lunchbox Theatre Series in November to record breaking numbers, and we're very excited to bring Amelia Earhart to life for Southwest Florida audiences.'

The fourth and final Gulfshore Playhouse show of the 2011- 2012 season is the Tennessee Williams classic A Streetcar Named Desire, playing April 6 through 27, with a preview performance April 5. 2012 will mark the 65th Anniversary of this enduring classic. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play follows the story of Blanche DuBois, a weak and disturbed woman on a desperate prowl for some place in the world to call her own. After losing their ancestral home, Belle Reve, Blanche shows up at the doorstep of her sister, Stella, in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Putting on airs of refinement and Southern gentility, Blanche tries to impress her brother-in-law, and his gentle, good-natured friend, Mitch. Seeking to escape from reality, and an emblem of a lost traditional South, Blanche becomes a victim of the harsh present. Marlon Brando starred in the Broadway production and the 4-time Academy Award-winning film adaptation.

West Palm Beach's longest residing professional theatre, Palm Beach Dramaworks, concludes its 11th anniversary season with 'The Beauty Queen of Leenane,' a dark comedy by acclaimed playwright Martin McDonagh on Friday, May 6th (8PM) at their intimate downtown theatre (322 Banyan Boulevard). Special priced preview performances are slated for May 4th (2PM & 8PM) & 5th (8PM) and the production will play through June 19th.

South Florida revelers gathered on Monday evening to celebrate an artistic standard in the community - the region's theatrical talent. The 35th Annual Carbonell award ceremony played out amongst theatre-goers, actors, producers, directors and cast and crew members from some of South Florida's most renowned stages at the Amaturo Theater at Broward Center for the Performing Arts. 'Tonight we celebrated the artistry of live theatre through camaraderie, laughter and reflection...and honored the creativity of powerful stage and costume design, fabulous music and unsurpassed talent,' says Scott Shiller, Vice Chairman, Carbonell Awards Board of Directors and Executive Vice President of the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. 'It's been a fabulous evening!'

The Boca Raton Theatre Guild announced that Terry Lawrence's newest play, 'Scott,' will be presented at this year's annual play reading, April 15th - 17th. The readings will take place at the Willow Theatre in Sugar Sand Park.(301 South Military Trail, Boca Raton, 33486)
