The show begins its run on Friday, July 29 and continues through Sunday, September 4.

Set in a village on the West Bank in 1990, with the Israeli-Arab struggle as its backdrop, the play depicts the tragedy of one family torn between duty, kinship, principles and survival.

While out together running some errands and enjoying their newly-engaged bliss, the sweethearts unwittingly stumble into a full-fledged zombie attack. What follows is a musically accompanied account of the skin crawling, zombie fighting, brain craving mayhem and a true testament to the couple's 'Undying Love.' Named Creative Loafing Readers' Pick for Best Theater Premiere & Best Play in Atlanta, The Promethean Theatre is the first theatre outside of Dad's Garage to produce this play.

The Boca Raton Theatre Guild announced the plays it has selected for its 2011-2012 season: Sarah Jones' Bridge and Tunnel, Charles Busch's Tales of the Allergist's Wife, the musical Sweet Charity, and Paulette Dozier in Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill. They will all play at the Willow Theatre in Boca Raton's Sugar Sand Park.

A family loyal to the Revolution has been rewarded by Castro's government with an enormous home. Carmen, the matriarch of her small family and a fervent revolutionary, has been assigned the official watchdog of the neighborhood. The play deals with the growing psychological and political forces which strain and eventually unravel their very existence.

This riveting, thought-provoking drama about a woman, Marjorie, who escapes her would-be rapist and then metes out her own justice has been intriguing and gripping audiences for over twenty years, all the time demanding that we examine our own attitudes towards crime and the justice system. As Marjorie's justice becomes more and more like revenge, the arrival of her two roommates forces all four people - rapist, victim, and bystanders - to examine where we draw the line between intent and action, and between what is justifiable and what is not. The play contains adult content and strong language, and parents are cautioned.

With echoes of Stoppard, Kafka, and the Brothers Grimm, 'The Pillowman' centers on a writer in an unnamed totalitarian state who is being interrogated about the gruesome content of his short stories and their similarities to a series of child murders. 'Comedies don't come any blacker than 'The Pillowman,' stated the New York Times. 'Even those familiar with this British dramatist's [McDonagh's] blithe way with murder, mutilation and dismemberment may be jolted by the events described and simulated so picturesquely...(Advisory note: severed fingers and heads, electric drills, barbed wire and premature burial all figure prominently.)'

The RiverPark Center event will feature a retrospective on Peter Falk, who played Columbo on television and died June 23. William Link, co-creator of the television series 'Columbo,' has written several Columbo short stories. Four will be selected and presented as Live Broadcast Theatre productions (formerly called Live Radio Theatre and presented in the style of old-fashioned radio shows).

William A. Meyer, Chairman of the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, today announced that Jeffrey Bateman has been named to the nonprofit organization's Board of Directors. Also announced was the election of the officers for the organization. Caldwell Theatre Company announced a summer season that embraces diversity and theatricality. Embarking on the successful formula of summers past, they will open the summer season with a World Premiere by South Florida playwright Michael McKeever, and his comedic take on the famous Collyer Brothers of Harlem, titled Stuff. The comedy will be followed by a classically executed drama, Six Years, by the up and coming writer Sharr White.

FST will present the regional premiere of Our Son's Wedding. The new play had its world premiere at Gloucester Stage Company, and went on to a recent run at Lake George Dinner Theatre in New York. New York actress Marina Re returns to FST as the wife, Mary, after appearing as the mother in both The Miamians and Boleros for the Disenchanted. She also appeared in Our Son's Wedding at Lake George Dinner Theatre and Gloucester Stage in the same role. Marina's husband, actor Paul D'Amato, will join her on stage in what will surely be a chemistry filled portrayal of the couple Angelo and Mary Lo Presto.

FST's hit country musical Cowgirls has been extended through July 17, due to popular demand. The 'energetic' musical is under the direction of Mary Murfitt (concept of COWGIRLS/composer/lyricist) and music direction by Mary Ehlinger (musical arrangments for COWGIRLS), and brings together six talented actresses-singers-musicians 'for a thoroughly enjoyable evening of musical theatre.'
