De La Noche, featuring Ivan Howard of The Rosebuds, Gayngs, Howard Ivans, will release Blue Days, Black Nights on August 23 via Get Loud (pre-order). Today Atwood Magazinepremiered 'Blue,' the latest single from the forthcoming release. About the song Atwood Magazine says, 'De La Noche shows with 'Blue' is that their band is force unlike any other, incorporating old and new in a seamless fashion and ending up on top. And despite the gloom of a broken heart, one can't help but groove to it, slowly losing themselves in the funk-soaked melodies and captivating vocals of Howard. Today celebrated Minneapolis singer/songwriter Reina Del Cid released 'Bernadette,' the first song from her new album MORSE CODE out October 4. Reina Del Cid's storytelling prowess shines on the song, which appears to feature a visitor from the artist's past. 'It feels like I lost a friend, I find myself wondering, will she haunt my home again, oh my Bernadette.'

Southern California rock band The Shelters have shared the official video for their new single “You're Different.” Directed by Allister Ann, the video is a surrealist homage to mid-century sci-fi cinema. Singer Chase Simpson explains, “We wanted to create a story that had the same fun and exciting energy of the song while still connecting to the more deeply rooted concept of what it really means to be different. We absolutely love Allister and her work, she did an incredible job interpreting the spirit of this single into a story that's visually just as up-beat and 'different' as the music.” 

The next chapter in Japanese rock legends Boris' story has arrived; their new double LP LφVE & EVφL is set for release on October 4th via Third Man Records.  This double LP exists as two independent works, encapsulating conflicting connotations that interweave and become intricately entangled with one another, gradually eroding before becoming utterly singular. Continuing to tinker and toil with their sound since the 2017 release of DEAR, Boris have pivoted onward a more organic, non-grid literary style that LφVE & EVφL showcases.  The album's first single, “Love,” is one of the most musically diverse in their career and showcases a snippet of what is to come on  LφVE & EVφL.

Dan Friel is a master of abrasive pop melody. Whether through his child-sized keyboard, and drum machine on his own, or through his incendiary guitar playing in cosmic noise-pop trio Upper Wilds, Friel's hooks bubble and froth from beneath a sea of crunching, squelching distortion and feedback. On new album Fanfare, out September 13th, Friel presents an expansion of his sonic palette with the addition of a horn section, including Sunwatchers' Jeff Tobias, Grasshopper's Jesse DeRosa, and former Parts & Labor collaborator Sam Kulik, bringing more subtlety and depth to his anthemic turbulence than ever before.

Art pop legends the Mommyheads have released two videos from their new album. Clever claymation clips for the songs 'Woke Up A Scientist' and 'Mutual Enemy' arrive as the band gets ready to celebrate the reissue of 1994's Bingham's Hole as well as the release of their brand new record, Future You, on the same day, September 6, 2019. Last month Brooklyn Vegan premiered 'Woke Up A Scientist,' and earlier this month Magnet gave the world its first peak at 'Mutual Enemy.'

“I've spent a good amount of time when I didn't have a working vehicle on a Greyhound bus seeing the country from a big dirty window,” singer and songwriter Jeremy Ivey says of his latest song's inspirations. “Everyone on a Greyhound seems homeless, even if it's just a temporary thing. In transit, between two lives. Everyone seems like they are in the throes of some intense drama. An alcoholic returning to a rehab in Tuscaloosa, a retired tollbooth operator with a Christmas present for his estranged son in Chattanooga. It's like a mobile society. A modern caravan through a burned out Canaan.”

Following the recent announcement of their new album Sonic Citadel, out Oct. 11th, Lightning Bolt have unveiled the album's first single: 'Air Conditioning.' On Sonic Citadel, bassist Brian Gibson and drummer Brian Chippendalehave done the daring, stripping away some of the distortion mask to reveal the naked pop forms of their songs as never before. 'Air Conditioning' makes use of space and vocal clarity unlike any previous Lightning Bolt song, yet retains the relentless energy, inventiveness, and unrestrained joy that drives all of their music. Lightning Bolt will tour throughout the world late 2019 and early 2020.

Last night, multi-platinum, four-time GRAMMY-nominated rock band Goo Goo Dolls performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS. Watch the band deliver their first late-night TV performance of 'Miracle Pill', the title track from the band's forthcoming album Miracle Pill (Warner Records). The song is currently at #32 on Billboard's Adult Top 40 chart and rising.

Los Angeles singer-songwriter Anna Vogelzang has released the second single, “Icarus,”  from her upcoming new album Beacon, due out October 4th, 2019 and available to pre-order now. Premiering the song with The Bluegrass Situation, “Icarus” is available now on all digital service providers here. Vogelzang kicks off her fall album release tour on Beacon's release date at Los Angeles' Hot Shot Muffler, before heading across the Midwest and North East with stops in Milwaukee, New York, Boston, and others, with additional dates to be announced soon.

Old Salt Union released a third song off their new album Where the Dogs Don't Bite,  due out Friday, Aug 16 (Compass Records). 

Breakout band Lawrence debuts the video for their song, “Casualty,” which was produced by rapper, singer and songwriter Jon Bellion. Of the video, Lawrence says, “For the 'Casualty' music video, we wanted to set up a fun live-action video game with an obstacle course that is timed to the massive musical hits that make up the song's foundation. A bunch of cool lights and paint balloons later, we had a pretty cool music video.”

Asbury Park based band Lowlight have released their new song “Every Time” via Ghettoblaster. The track appears on their 2nd full-length album, Endless Bummer, out September 13 via Telegraph Hill Records. 

Australian singer-songwriter and producer Hayden Calnin partners with Earmilk to share the official music video for latest single “Warm With You” from his forthcoming Nettwerk debut EP A Life You Would Choose (Out September 13). Directed by filmmaker Maxime Beauchamp, the video is a tender and heartwarming clip of being care-free, but also, finding your way home…all from the perspective of a pup named Cheese.

“Barb and Star Go to Visit Del Mar,” starring Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo, will be released by Lionsgate on July 31, 2020.
