Seattle indie-rock band Moon Palace - led by twin sisters Cat & Carrie Biell - just released their dreamy, psych-inspired album Shadowcast today. The quartet previously shared singles “Bold” with KEXP, as well as the contemplative “Who You Are” via Medium, giving listeners a look into the hazy, nostalgic world of Shadowcast.

Emerging Norwegian artist Jakob Ogawa's forthcoming EP, April, is set for release on September 27 via Playground Music. Additionally, Ogawa's new song “You And I” debuts today.

Brooklyn-based antipop singer/songwriter ESS SEE makes her first full-length debut with excitingly earnest and artful pop in Waiting For The Sky To Fall, out today on all platforms. Multi-platinum rockers Hinder kick off leg three of their Lucky Seven Tour with Royal Bliss supporting. More dates in the southern part of the country have been added. The band recently released a new single, a cover of the Eagles classic rock radio staple 'Life in the Fast Lane.' The track premiered over at Loudwire and is available via all digital platforms.

Matt and Kim drummer Kim Schifino fell during the band's high energy performance at Maha Music Festival in Omaha last weekend. Schifino played through the pain to finish their set before she was carried off the stage leaving fans to wonder about the band's future and their upcoming Grand 10 Year Celebration Tour. Matt and Kim announced via social media that Schifino has a torn ACL, but they also announced that they WILL TOUR AS PLANNED.

Vevo announces the release of Noah Cyrus' live performance of “Live or Die,” originally featuring Lil Xan. “Live or Die” follows last weeks release of Cyrus' Vevo performance of her new single “July.” Noah Cyrus rose to stardom in 2017, as her debut single “Make Me (Cry)” went viral within hours of release, and has since surpassed 500 million global audio and video streams. The introductory platinum-selling song was met with unanimous praise in the U.S. and abroad, with Dazed calling it a “left-field pop ballad” and Rolling Stone deeming it an “R&B-tinged pop tearjerker.”

“Love Comes Close” once again for this world, thanks to the new reissue of Cold Cave's debut album of the same name. Originally released via Heartworm Press and licensed by Matador Records in 2009, Love Comes Close served as Wes Eisold's grand foray into the electronic music world, molting his former role as the Give Up The Ghost / American Nightmare bandleader.

On October 11, Gold Dime will release My House via Fire Talk Records. Today the band shared the official video for 'Hindsight II' the first single to be lifted from the forthcoming release. The video which was directed by Joe Wakeman premiered at Brooklyn Vegan and can also be shared at YouTube. The video was shot at the legendary performance art space The Kitchen in New York City, where Ambro, Wakeman and bandmate Ian Douglas-Moore all sometimes work. About the video Gold Dime's Andrya Ambro says, 'Sometimes we better understand the past if we just talk to it. So this is just the rhetorical me talking to the past through Hindsight personified. Also I think I had The Velvet Underground's 'Hey Mr. Rain' rattling around in my head when this all went down. There is a 'Hindsight' first edition on Gold Dime's debut album Nerves. It's basically the haiku version of 'Hindsight II,' only on piano and much more austere.' 'Hindsight II' is also available today on all digital streaming services to add to your favorite end of summer playlists.

Poolside's new video for 'Can't Stop Your Lovin' (feat. Panama)' is out today. Directed by Hala Matar (Vice, Interpol, Julian Casablancas) in Paris, France at the Louvre and the Seine River, the video connects the song's message of passionate love leading to widespread PDA in the world's most romantic city.

Cleveland indie rockers The Sidekicks have released a new single “Feed II”. A commentary on feeling like we need to present everything we do on social media, the song follows a series of singles from the band which include; “People's Court” and “Ode To Jerry”. “Feed II is about the constant online projection of self and the ensuing feedback loop this creates between those needing to see & be seen in this manner,” notes vocalist Steve Ciolek. 

Acclaimed indie label Frenchkiss Records is celebrating their 20th anniversary with a party on October 12 at Elsewhere in Brooklyn, NY. Today they announce that Drowners, playing their first show in 3 years, are added to the bill as are newcomers Twen and The Hold Steady's Tad Kubler. As previously announced, the party will also feature sets from The Dodos (who will be playing Visiter in its entirety and at additional dates listed below), Eleanor Friedberger, Diet Cig, Les Savy Fav and special guests. As part of the celebration, the label will be taking over Elsewhere's art space curating it with art from the label's roster.
