The 17th annual Broadway Barks fundraiser - the star-studded dog and cat adoption event to benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore - was held July 11 in Shubert Alley. This year's event was co-hosted by Tony winner Peters and Tony nominee Andrew Rannells. The cast of FUN HOME, AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, SOMETHING ROTTEN! and more joined in the fun and hung out with some adorable puppies! Check out all the photos from the event here.

New York City Center is rasing the roof as they conclude their Enocres! Off-Center series with Andrew Lippa's THE WILD PARTY from July 15-18, 2015 starring Two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster, Steven Pasquale, Miriam Shor, Brandon Victor Dixon and so many others. Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party, adapted from the Jazz Age narrative poem by Joseph Moncure March, is the story of one tragic, decadent night in a Manhattan apartment shared by Queenie (Foster) and her menacing lover Burrs (Pasquale). The couple decides to throw the party to end all parties, where Queenie meets a handsome stranger (Dixon) who wants to lure her away. The show opened at Manhattan Theatre Club on February 24, 2000 and played 54 performances. For more photos from this star studded production visit here.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's new musical HAMILTON began previews at the Richard Rodgers Theatre this week. As was announced last week, $10 front row seats for the new musical will go on sale by lottery, beginning two and half hours prior to each performance. Patrons may enter their name at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St.) for a chance to buy up to two front row tickets for $10 each. Over 700 hopefullys crowded the Richard Rodgers Theatre in hopes of winning the lottery! This week Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jonathan Groff also pumped up the growing crowd with some In the Heights notalgia. For more photos from the lottery from the first preview click here.

DOGFIGHT, with book by Peter Duchan and music & lyrics by Ben Pasek & Justin Paul, is currently playing Little Theatre of the Rockies. It's November 21, 1963. On the eve of their deployment to a small but growing conflict in Southeast Asia, three young Marines set out for one final boys' night of debauchery, partying and maybe a little trouble. But when Corporal Eddie Birdlace meets Rose, an awkward and idealistic waitress he enlists to win a cruel bet with his fellow recruits, she rewrites the rules of the game and teaches him the power of love and compassion. Benedict Cumberbatch has taken every aspect of enterainment by storm over the last few years and now he is taking on HAMLET on the West End. Performances at the Barbican Theatre begin on 5 August 2015, with opening night on 25 August at 7pm. Hamlet is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions and presented by the Barbican for an exclusive 12-week run, concluding 31 October 2015. As a country arms itself for war, a family tears itself apart. Forced to avenge his father's death but paralysed by the task ahead, Hamlet rages against the impossibility of his predicament, threatening both his sanity and the security of the state. There's a new King in Siam! Tony Award Winner Kelli O'Hara is now joined by the new King of Siam, Jose Llana. Llana took over the role this week after Ken Watanabe played his last performance last Sunday. The Tony Award Winning Revival of THE KING AND I continues to take Broadway by storm this season. Llana's previous Broadway credits include Wonderland, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Drama Desk Award), Flower Drum Song, Rent, Streetcorner Symphony, and the 1996 production of The King and I, in which he performed the role of Lun Tha. Llana joins O'Hara for a strictly limited 11-week engagement through Sunday, September 27. For more photos click here.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater presents Ben Platt (Pitch Perfect, The Book of Mormon) in the original world-premiere musical DEAR EVAN HANSEN which just debuted on Friday, July 10. The original musical is a contemporary, intimate story of hope, heartache and the things in life we all need-friends, family and a place to call home. With choreography by Danny Mefford and music supervision, orchestrations and dance arrangements by Tony Award winner Alex Lacamoire, Dear Evan Hansen runs through August 23, 2015 in the Kreeger Theater. The Muny presents Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, beginning tonight, July 13, and running through July 20 at Forest Park. Written by Alan Janes, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story is directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge, choreographed byJosh Walden and music directed by Michael Horsley. Making its Muny premiere, Buddy -The Buddy Holly Story is based on the all too short life and career of Buddy Holly.Buddy Holly created the sounds and styles that defined American rock 'n roll, and this fantastic show features such hit songs as "That'll Be The Day," "Why Do Fools Fall in Love?" "Peggy Sue" and "Johnny B. Goode." Buddy -The Buddy Holly Story opened in London's West End where it ran for over 12 years. It premiered on Broadway in 1990. For more photos visit here.

"The Who's Tommy", the rock and roll sensation from Pete Townshend and the famed band, is on stage at The Media Theatre each weekend now through August 9. The show is directed by Broadway World Award winning director Jesse Cline, with music direction by Christopher Ertelt and a live band on stage. Broadway's new musical AMAZING GRACE officially opened last night, July 16, at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). The cast features Tony Award nominee Josh Young,Erin Mackey, Tony Award winner Chuck Cooper, Tom Hewitt, Chris Hoch, Stanley Bahorek, Harriett D. Foy, Laiona Michelle, Rachael Ferrera and Elizabeth Ward Land. Amazing Grace is a new original musical based on the awe-inspiring true story behind the world's most beloved song. A captivating tale of romance, rebellion and redemption, this radiant production follows one man whose incredible journey ignited a historic wave of change.
