Lin-Manuel Miranda's new musical Hamilton began previews at theRichard Rodgers Theatre last night prior to an official opening night on August 6th. As was announced last week, $10 front row seats for the new musical will go on sale by lottery, beginning two and half hours prior to each performance. Patrons may enter their name at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St.) for a chance to buy up to two front row tickets for $10 each. The winner's names will be drawn 2 hours before show time. Entrants must present photo ID, and the winners must pay with cash at the box office.

HAMILTON is inspired by the book Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow and features book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and direction by Thomas Kail, who previously collaborated on IN THE HEIGHTS.
The new musical is produced on Broadway byJeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman andThe Public Theater.
