Second Stage Theatre just celebrated its annual All-Star Bowling Classic last night, February 4 at Lucky Strike Lanes and Lounge For over 25 years, stars of stage and screen have come out to bowl in support ofSecond Stage's award-winning seasons and to assist the theatre in its fund-raising efforts. The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.), under the Artistic Direction of Diane Paulus presents its February 2013 production of Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie, directed by Tony Award-winning directorJohn Tiffany. Multiple Tony and Emmy Award winner Cherry Jones returns to the A.R.T. to play Amanda Wingfield, and will be joined by Zachary Quinto as Tom, Celia Keenan-Bolger as Laura, and Brian J. The Australian Premiere of Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic play Driving Miss Daisy will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at The Playhouse, QPAC, Brisbane. The production stars two of the world's greatest living actors- five-time Tony Award and three-time Academy Award nominee Angela Lansbury and two-time Tony Award winner and Academy Award winner James Earl Jones, alongside four-time Tony Award winner Boyd Gaines. The dazzling, multi award-winning classic Broadway musical Kiss Me, Kate comes to The Old Vic. This glittering new production, directed by Trevor Nunn, stars Alex Bourne, David Burt, Adam Garcia, Clive Rowe and Hannah Waddingham. This exuberant show-within-a-show throws together gun-toting gangsters, sparring actors and romantic entanglements against a backdrop of a touring musical production of The Taming of the Shrew. The Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical Jersey Boys last night played its 3,000th performance on Broadway. Jersey Boys is the 18th longest-running show in Broadway history, having surpassed the record previously held by Hello, Dolly!. Check out photos from the celebration here!

MOTOWN: THE MUSICAL will begin preview performances March 11 and open on Broadway on April 14, 2013 at The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46 Street). Directed by Charles Randolph-Wright, MOTOWN: THE MUSICAL will feature a book by Berry Gordy and music and lyrics from the legendary Motown catalogue.
