Rocco Steakhouse provides a dining experience that is absolutely outstanding. They offer delicious, wonderfully presented cuisine and an extraordinary beverage program complemented by gracious service. The setting is elegant yet wholly welcoming with comfortable seating options for every size party. And the location is ideal, in the heart of NoMad.

Rocco Steakhouse is the place where you can relax at their bar after work, impress that special someone, or gather with family and friends. There are even two strategically placed monitors if you want to check on your favorite sports teams. Entrepreneur Rocco Trotta is behind the restaurant's concept and he has assembled a remarkable team of professionals that will make your visit unforgettable including General Manager/Partner Pete Pjetrovic. After only one visit, we promise that Rocco Steakhouse will be one of your favorite New York City restaurants.

We stopped by on a Monday night for an early dinner. You will want to start your culinary journey with one of Beverage Director/Partner Jeff Kolenovic's specialties like the French Martini, a perfect blend of Stoli Vanilla, Chambord and pineapple juice. Be sure to check the wine list. It is surely one of the best in the city and Head Waiter and sommelier Henri Doda will be happy to suggest perfect pairings for your meal.

Executive Chef Johnny Jevric has created a menu that is totally pleasing. We like that Rocco Steakhouse has both classic steakhouse fare and some house specialties that make their menu a standout. For an appetizer, we suggest you order one of their salads. You may have a difficult time choosing with tempting selections like the Arugula, Apple and Pear or the Caesar Salad. We decided on the Rocco Chopped Salad, distinctive because it incorporates the healthiest ingredients like spinach, romaine, peas, corn, carrots, cucumber, hearts of palm, avocado and red cabbage. Follow up with another starter like their hearty Crab Cake, a delectable Seafood Tower or Tuna Tartare. You may even want to do a little plate sharing, portions are generous.

USDA prime steaks, perfectly aged, are the main attraction. We enjoyed their incredibly tender, sizzling Porterhouse that was prepared to our exact liking. A fine variety of sides like their Lobster Mac and Cheese with truffle oil and their Batter Fried Onions or Rocco Signature Fries are ideal accompaniments. We savored a few of our favorite classic sides, perfectly seasoned German Potatoes and rich Creamed Spinach.

If you're not a steak-lover, Rocco Steakhouse has you covered. For those that prefer, entrée options include their Grilled Salmon, Broiled Chilean Sea Bass, Veal Milanese or Parmesan, Chicken Paillard and other tempting dishes.

Dessert is a must with an aperitif or coffee. It's a perfect way to relax after your delicious meal. We tried their luscious, creamy cheesecake, a portion fit for two, served with thick whipped cream.
