The Copper Kettle Kitchen, a new American bistro on 2nd Avenue between 76th and 77th Streets is fast becoming an Upper East Side hotspot. There's no wondering why. The rustic chic interior design is totally comfortable, with a great bar space. They have a fantastic beverage program and serve inspired cuisine with home-cooked style.
Copper Kitchen buys from local farms and uses the freshest organic ingredients in their dishes. Chef /Owner Joseph D'Angelo has created a menu with tempting food selections that are perfect for table sharing or a full, satisfying meal. The restaurant truly provides community crafted comfort. You'll also be pleased by the service, friendly and attentive. We met General Manager, Drew Blumenthal who enjoys welcoming guests to the venue.
We stopped by for Saturday brunch at noon and started our meal with a few of their delightful eye-opening cocktails, a perfect way to toast the weekend. Mixologist Harris Tooley has created clever twists on the classics like the Truffled Hunt "martini" or the In a Nutshell "old fashioned." Craft beers and fine wines are also available. If you prefer, there's a nice selection of teas and a wonderful coffee service.
For a brunch entrée, The Short Rib & Eggs is ideal for bridging breakfast and lunch with tender, slow-roasted flavorful beef off the bone, poached eggs, beech mushrooms and gremolata. You won't find better Lemon Ricotta Pancakes in the city. They are light and fluffy served with spiced butter and Vermont maple syrup. And there are also favorites like Eggs Benedict and Cheesy Grits expertly prepared and served. Be sure to order a side of their delicious, savory Home Fries to round out your meal.
Whether you are having brunch with that special someone or gathering your group, we guarantee that your visit to Copper Kettle Kitchen will be part of a relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Make it a top destination whenever you're in the neighborhood.
