Guests of Midtown and many more will be impressed and delighted with a meal at City Lobster, conveniently located between Times Square and Rockefeller Center. Stylish, yet traditional, City Lobster is a perfect place to dine pre or post theatre, when you gather with friends and colleagues or shop in the area. And the service is gracious and attentive. This charming restaurant offers a fantastic array of fresh seafood and the finest steaks along with an impressive beverage program.

At City Lobster, you can go a la carte or enjoy their generous three-course lunch and dinner prix fixe menus that have a great price point. They specialize in North Atlantic Lobsters, fresh Alaskan King Crab Legs and authentic Maryland Crab Cakes. But we suggest that you be creative and explore their many fine choices.

We stopped by on a Tuesday night for a late dinner. For a starter, don't miss out on City Lobster's raw bar with an impressive selection of oysters from the East and West coasts. Their Tuna Tartare is absolutely tops and crispy, spicy Calamari is excellent. Go fresh and order their Deluxe Seafood Cobb salad with lobster, shrimp, crab meat, green beans, red pepper, cucumber, tomato, artichoke, corn, avocado, bacon, chunky blue cheese, hard boiled egg, crispy shallots & Green Goddess dressing. It's a meal in itself. City Lobster is well known for their Lobster Bisque, a perfectly seasoned soup to enjoy alone or start a meal.

Lobster lovers will enjoy the selected North Atlantic Lobsters weigh in at 2 pounds and up. They can be steamed, grilled or broiled and are prepared in a variety of ways that include "Angry," "Pan-Roasted" or "Stuffed." There are other great options too. Contemporary seafood entrees include their Crispy Skin North Atlantic Salmon, Grilled West Indian Jerk Shrimp and their Linguine and Littlenecks. Steak enthusiasts will appreciate their Prime Angus steaks. We had their tender Filet Mignon prepared to our exact liking. Add some sides like their Lobster Mashed Potatoes, Grilled Asparagus or Crispy Onion Rings to complete your meal.

If you have a sweet tooth, their Creme Brulee Cheesecake topped with fresh berries or Florida Key Lime Pie is sure to delight. Dessert gives you just another reason to linger and relax.

We like City Lobster's beverage program. Having a handcrafted cocktail like their "Gin Botanical" or "Blood Orange Mojito" are a fantastic way to kick off your meal. There are well-selected wines by the bottle or glass and craft beers that can be easily paired with your meal. Be sure to stop by for their Happy Hour that where you can enjoy drinks and food items like their "Down East Lobster Roll," "Jumbo Select Shrimp Cocktail" and oyster specials at their expansive bar. Happy Hour is an "all-day" event starting at 11:00 am and running till 6:00 pm.

Visit City Lobster and dine in true Manhattan style. You will make it one of your favorite Midtown restaurants.
