BWW Preview: GREAT MATCH NEW YORK and Wines from Spain

Wines from Spain will be debuting the second edition of Karen MacNeil's The Wine Bible at the Spain's Great Match event in New York on Wednesday, October 7. Karen MacNeil will be hosting two seminars, selling and signing books and providing a complimentary electronic version of her first chapter, "My Spain" to guests.

At this year's 22nd annual Spain's Great Match, the Tourism Office of Spain in New York will join forces with the Trade Commission of Spain as the presenting partner, where together with Wines from Spain, Foods from Spain and Interiors from Spain, they will celebrate the distinctive wines, food and culture of Spain. In the afternoon, members of the wine trade and press will be invited to taste 300+ wines representing the varietals and wine regions of Spain in a walk-around tasting format, in addition to smaller tutored regional tasting seminars. In the evening, the Great Match will open to the public for a ticketed evening lifestyle event, featuring tapas dishes from ten of New York's best Spanish restaurants, a Rioja lounge with live music and a display of contemporary Spanish furnishings.

To celebrate the launch of the second edition of The Wine Bible, Karen MacNeil will lead two seminars in the afternoon: a panel discussion called "My Spain," during which three wine experts will discuss the wines that have "changed their worlds," and a tutored seminar on the wines of Somontano. Copies of The Wine Bible will be available for purchase at the event, and MacNeil will be available during each of the sessions (trade and consumer) to sign books. An electronic version of the first chapter, "My Spain," will also be provided to guests, along with a 20% discount certificate to purchase the book online or onsite.

The second Spain's Great Match 2015 will be held in Houston, Texas on November 10th. Guests must be 21 or older to attend.
