Michael C. Hall to Star in BIG FISH on Broadway?

As reported by Variety, the Showtime network and actor Michael C. Hall, star of Showtime's hit series "Dexter", have been locked in contract negotiations for several months. Now Variety reports that if an agreement can be successfully reached between the cable network and the actor, Hall would be allowed to star in the upcoming Broadway musical adaptation of Tim Burton's, BIG FISH. Susan Stroman to Direct Broadway-Bound BIG FISH Musical Adaptation

The New York Times reports today that Susan Stromen will direct a musical adaptation of Tim Burton's film, Big Fish. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Hugh Jackman and Laura Benanti recently participated in a reading of the show. The musical is aiming for a spring 2012 Broadway opening. No word from the Times if either Jackman or Benanti are confirmed for the project. Additional creative team members have yet to be announced. (more...)

Hugh Jackman to Star in Burton's BIG FISH Stage Adaptation? Brings Hugh Jackman in Concert to Toronto this Summer

In his column this morning, Michael Riedel suggests that Hugh Jackman, who just completed a two week run of his solo variety show at the Curran Theater in San Francisco is considering the starring role in an upcoming stage adaptation of Tim Burton's Big Fish. The new musical is being composed by Andrew Lippa. Jackman recently participated in a reading of the show with Laura Benanti. (more...)
