As it approaches its second anniversary on Broadway, Frozen will welcome a trio of new stars joining the company tonight, Tuesday, February 18, 2020. McKenzie Kurtz makes her Broadway debut starring as Anna, Ciara Renée (Pippin, Big Fish, The Hunchback of Notre Dame) stars as Elsa, and Ryan McCartan (Wicked; Heathers: The Musical; Disney Channel's “Liv & Maddie”) joins the cast as Hans, replacing Patti Murin, Caissie Levy, and Joe Carroll, respectively.

Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn opened to a packed house at Theatre at the Center on Sunday night. Audience members leapt to their feet at the end of the performance of the now Jeff-Recommended production. Actors James Romney in the role of Huck and Jonathan Butler-Duplessis in the role of Jim lead the cast in the musical that continues through October 15.

Broadway rockers Justin Guarini, Deborah Cox, Alex Brightman, and Tony Vincent, all took part in Clear Channel Spectacolor's annual CELEBRITY KARAOKE: AN EPIC EVENING WITH THE STARS last night, October 5. Hosted and co-produced by Guarini, CELEBRITY KARAOKE kicked off New York Comic Con's New York Super Week and gave fans the opportunity to perform with a live karaoke band alongside Broadway's brightest stars. Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma presents BIG FISH, a new Broadway musical with a larger than life story, this summer at the Civic Center Music Hall, which ran on Broadway from October to December, 2013. Based on the Daniel Wallacenovel that inspired the Tim Burton film of the same name, BIG FISH runs July 21 through 25. On Monday, October 29, Jim Caruso's Cast Party, Birdland's 'extreme' open mic, was proud to present a new monthly segment called MENTOR MONDAYS, which pairs up-and-coming singers and composers with established artists to create a featured performance for the historic Birdland stage. For the premiere segment, producer Trevor McQueen paired composer Eric Dietz, a recent Carnegie Mellon University graduate with one of the current stars of Big Fish, Kirsten Scott. Over 400 guests attended Westport Country Playhouse's annual fundraising gala, 'Sophisticated Lady: A Gala Evening Honoring Phylicia Rashad,' on Monday evening, September 16. Broadway is made up of a whopping 40 theatres that stretch from the Nederlander Theatre on 41st Street to the Vivian Beaumont Theatre on 65th Street. With a new Broadway season just around the bend, many of them are preparing for incoming productions, which will open officially in the coming months.
