Everyone has heard of the recent tragic events in Boston. Hearts around the world were touched by what happened at this year's Boston Marathon. As a result there's been an incredible outpouring of help and kindness to those who were directly affected by the two explosions on April 22, 2013. NY Philharmonic Announces Details of Worldwide Radio Broadcasts for June

The June broadcasts of The New York Philharmonic This Week - the weekly radio series of concerts and recordings by the New York Philharmonic, hosted by Alec Baldwin - begin with the final program from The Bach Variations: A Philharmonic Festival, with Andras Schiff in his Philharmonic conducting debut and performing as the piano soloist. The Orpheum Announces Summer Movie Series

The Orpheum Theatre announced its much-anticipated 2013 Summer Movie Series on May 1. This year's series, presented for a second year by Orion Federal Credit Union, will commemorate the theatre's 85th Anniversary with the best-loved films of the past eight decades. Marin Alsop Leads Felix Hell, BSO in Saint-Saens' Organ Symphony, 3/14-17

Music Director Marin Alsop leads the BSO and German concert organist Felix Hell in Saint-Saens' Symphony No. 3, "Organ", on Thursday, March 14 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 17 at 3 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. The program also includes Dukas' The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Poulenc's Organ Concerto. Maestra Alsop and Mr. Hell will continue their collaborative efforts in an Off the Cuff performance of Saint-Saens' 'Organ' Symphony on Friday, March 15 at 8:15 p.m. at the Music Center at Strathmore and Saturday, March 16 at 7 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Megan Hilty, Matthew Morrison & More to Be Featured in Boston Pops' Spring 2013 Season

The 2013 Boston Pops season, May 8-June 15, under the direction of Keith Lockhart, will present a season-long tribute to the world of movie music, along with programs featuring a wide variety of American musical styles, including jazz, bluegrass, country, gospel, pop, classic standards from the 50s and 60s, and show-stopping songs of Broadway and the American Songbook. For the programs focusing on the season theme, 'Best of Hollywood Film Music,' audiences will hear their favorite music from classic movies and today's popular soundtracks performed live by the Boston Pops, while the accompanying movie clips are projected onto a giant screen suspended above the orchestra. Donna Murphy Hosts Little Orchestra Society's Spring Benefit Following Disney's FANTASIA Live Tonight

The Little Orchestra Society announces its Spring Benefit, hosted by two-time Tony Award winning actress Donna Murphy, to follow the premiere of Disney Fantasia Live in Concert tonight, April 26 at Avery Fisher Hall. The Arts and Education Honoree of the evening is the Big Apple Circus and its co-founders Paul Binder and Michael Christensen. A special benefit reception for adults will take place after the concert on the Grand Promenade of Avery Fisher Hall. Saturday's two encore performances of this Happy Concerts For Young People program are already sold-out. (more...)

It will be held tonight, April 19 at 7:30pm and April 20th at 2:30pm and 8:00pm. This production will be directed by Wayside Theatre Education Director, Molly MacLagan, and comes as part of Wayside Theatre's 'Education and the Arts' month.
