Lineup Announced for TexARTS' Summer Programsby BWW News Desk - May 15, 2013Darcie Roberts, who played the title role in the U.S. first national tour of 'Thoroughly Modern Millie,' will serve as one of the professional guest teaching artists for the TexARTS summer musical theatre intensive, 'Thoroughly Modern Millie' (June 10 - 30). Students enrolled in this three-week, production-based intensive will rehearse while receiving instruction in acting, dance and voice from a team of professional instructors and special Broadway guests. The production grossed $865,144 for the week ending May 12, 2013. This marks the second consecutive week the production has set the box office record at the Booth. The production's previous record of $753,217 was set the week ending May 5, 2013.
Also, the new Broadway production of PIPPIN has broken the house record for the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street) grossing $861,513 over eight performances for the week ending May 12, 2013. (more...)
