Full Cast Announced for the National Theatre's NYE, Starring Michael Sheen


The National Theatre and Wales Millenium Centre have announced the full cast for Nye as the company begins rehearsals. Tim Price's (Teh Internet is Serious Business) new play directed by Rufus Norris (Small Island), charts the life of Aneurin 'Nye' Bevan and his battle to create the NHS. Michael Sheen is cast as Nye in this co-production between the National Theatre and Wales Millennium Centre.

A major new play, 'Nye,' co-produced by the National Theatre and Wales Millennium Centre, will chronicle the life of influential political figure Aneurin 'Nye' Bevan. Michael Sheen will star as Bevan in this production directed by Rufus Norris.

The Theatre Royal Glasgow has announced that the UK tour of 42nd STREET is coming to the venue from Monday 21 August to Saturday 26 August 2023.

BWW Review: SMALL ISLAND, National Theatre


Rufus Norris’ stage production of Andrea Levy’s Small Island was hailed as a triumph on its debut in 2019. The epic story of race, friendship and betrayal set among the Windrush generation was a welcome distraction when streamed during lockdown and now makes an exultant return to the grandeur of the Olivier’s stage.

Casting for the revival of the critically acclaimed production Small Island is announced today as the company begin rehearsals. Adapted by Helen Edmundson from Andrea Levy's prize-winning novel and directed by Rufus Norris, the production will open on 24 February in the Olivier theatre.  

THE PRINCE OF EGYPT Filmed Live At London's Dominion Theatre


The Prince of Egypt has this week been filmed live at London's Dominion Theatre by Universal Pictures Content Group. Plans for its broadcast will be released at a later date. The live capture of Scott Schwartz's production is directed by Brett Sullivan and produced by Dione Orrom.

THE PRINCE OF EGYPT, based on the classic DreamWorks Animation film, will play its final performance at London’s Dominion Theatre on Saturday 8 January 2022, the end of its booking period. Extra shows have been added on 20, 21 and 28 December 2021 at 2.30pm.

The Prince of Egypt has once again been forced to cancel upcoming performances due to Government-enforced COVID-19 legislation. Performances through 7 August have been cancelled at this time.

THE PRINCE OF EGYPT Will Play to Full Capacity Beginning 23 July


Following the current temporary suspension of performances due to Government Track and Trace legislation, the production will play three socially distanced performances on Wednesday 21 July at 7.30pm and Thursday 22 July at 2.30pm and 7.30pm before gradually reverting to full capacity.
