Jennifer Cody BIO

Jennifer Cody is an American actress and singer who has made a name for herself both on and off Broadway. Born on November 10, 1969, in Rochester, New York, Cody grew up with a passion for the performing arts. She began dancing at the age of three and went on to study voice, acting, and dance at the State University of New York at Fredonia.
Cody made her Broadway debut in 1993 as an ensemble member in the original production of "Cats." She went on to appear in several other Broadway shows, including "Beauty and the Beast," "Seussical," "The Pajama Game," "Urinetown," and "Shrek the Musical." In 2001, she received a Theatre World Award for her performance in "The Wild Party."
In addition to her work on Broadway, Cody has also made a name for herself in the world of television and film. She has appeared in several popular TV shows, including "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "Blue Bloods," and "The Good Wife." She has also lent her voice to several animated films, including "The Princess and the Frog" and "Wreck-It Ralph."
Cody is perhaps best known for her work as a voice actor in the Disney animated series "Phineas and Ferb." She provided the voice for several characters on the show, including Stacy Hirano, Candace's best friend. Her work on the show earned her a nomination for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2013.
In addition to her work in theater, television, and film, Cody is also an accomplished cabaret performer. She has performed her one-woman show, "From Rochester to Broadway," at several venues across the country.
Cody is married to fellow Broadway performer Hunter Foster, and the couple has two children together. They have also collaborated on several theater projects, including the off-Broadway musical "Summer of '42" and the national tour of "Grease."
Despite her success in the entertainment industry, Cody remains grounded and grateful for her career. In an interview with BroadwayWorld, she said, "I'm just grateful to be doing what I love to do. I never thought I'd be able to make a living doing it, and I'm still pinching myself that I get to do this for a living."
