The Royal College of Music Junior Department Jazz Ensemble makes its fifth appearance at Late Night Jazz in the Elgar Room.
The band performs regularly at the RCM, together with annual gigs at the Royal Albert Hall and the 606 Club. Their eclectic repertoire features music from the swing era of the 1930s right up to the present day, including works by Benny Goodman, Miles Davis, Stan Getz, Charles Mingus, Michael Bublé, Herbie Hancock, The Yellowjackets, Gordon Goodwin and Snarky Puppy.
This year they will premiere a new work by Alastair Martin, and previous commissions include a piece for big band, which they premiered at Ronnie Scott's.
