The Really Useful Group, producer of The Sound of Music and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, is taking the lead in the West End and has announced this morning that it will be passing on the reduction in VAT, in full, to its customers from Monday on all ticket price ranges.

To achieve a sensible price point, The Really Useful Group shall be passing on more than the VAT reduction to get to the next nearest 50 pence. For example, a £55 ticket will cost £53.82 after the VAT reduction but we shall reduce to £53.50.

A spokesman for The Really Useful Group, said: "It is important that customers feel the benefits of the cut in VAT immediately. We hope other West End producers will follow suit and pass on the reduction in VAT to theatergoers straight away".
