Old School Sketch Show, the longstanding popular sketch show at The Peoples Improv Theater, returns this Saturday, Oct 7th at 9:30pm.

This month's cast features many talented writers such as Walid Chaya (NBC), Christine Piniero (MTV), Melissa Aquiles (TruRV), Jack Frederick (UCB Maude), Sandy Chansamone (Broadway Comedy Club), TJ Young (Caroline's), Raymond Morency (The PIT), Luis Leon (Would You Rather), Patrice Walker (The PIT) and is directed by Sean Christian Taylor (The PIT).

This month's featured stand-up is: Josh Gondelman (Emmy Award Winning Writer for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver).

Old School Sketch Show is a sketch comedy show that puts top comedians together for a week to create a brand new performance that will never be seen again. Most of these comics have never worked with each other before, bringing a new flavor to the show every month.

OSSS was created by Micah Sherman (High Maitenance) in 2012 as a way to allow up-and-comings to work with more established comics in the New York comedy scene. The challenge is to make a sketch show with strangers from pitch to stage in seven days.

Kevin Labison, former Artistic Director of The Peoples Improv Theater and Off-Broadway Director, says "Old School Sketch Show is a relevant, accessible, good ol' fashioned night of sketch. I never miss it."

This all-star cast of improvisers, sketch comedians and stand ups create a brand new show in only one week. After the show, watch improvised sketches based off of audience suggestions, just like the Second City used to do!

In only one week the cast writes a new sketch comedy show to premiere Saturday at The People's Improv Theater.
