The Broadway Experience celebrated its 10th Anniversary season with a culminating student performance alongside Broadway professionals this past Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the James & Martha Duffy Performance Space at Mark Morris Dance Center in Brooklyn. Scroll down for photos!

The evening included performances from Julie Barnes (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Mary Poppins), Rodney Ingram (Phantom of the Opera, Aladdin), Jamison Scott (Mowtown, Spiderman), Nancy Ticotin (In the Heights, Jerome Robbin's Broadway), and Alli Mauzey (Wicked, Cry Baby).

"The Broadway Experience is one of few musical theatre programs that bring the "process" front and center." says Ben Hartley, Founder & Director of The Broadway Experience. "Week one focusses on building technique and strengthening the foundation. We refine the skill set of each and everyone of our students no matter where they are in their training. Week two allows students to put those skills to the test in a rehearsal process geared towards performance."

The Broadway Experience was founded in 2006 and ran it's very first summer intensive in 2008. The company has since expanded overseas and currently presents week long intensives in Rome, Italy, & Tokyo, Japan.

2017 faculty included Ben Hartley (The Little Mermaid), Julie Barnes (Mary Poppins), Mami Tomotani (Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake), Curtis Schroeger (Tuck Everlasting), Elizabeth Earley (Hello Dolly), Ginger Thatcher (Oklahoma), Barry Busby (Holiday Inn), Steven Malone (Anastasia), Alex LeFevre (Aladdin), Jason Wetzel (After Midnight), Peter Nilsen (The Producers), David Alpert (If/Then), Ally Sheedy (Breakfast Club), Dayle Towarnicky (NYU), Claire Neumann (Baghdaddy), Jeff Calhoun (Newsies), and Doug Wright (Warpaint).

Julie Barnes made her Broadway debut in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Other Broadway credits include The Little Mermaid and Mary Poppins. She joined the first U.S. national tour of Spamalot, 9to5 at Fireside and the world premiere of Tuck Everlasting. West End and UK touring credits include Cats, Oklahoma, Joseph, Evita, Crazy For You, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. She performed in Beauty & the Beast at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford, and The Seagull, Seven Doors, Godoliers, and Out Of This World at the Chichester Festival.

Rodney Ingram can currently be seen playing Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. He joins the Phantom cast direct from the Broadway production of Disney's Aladdin, where he understudied the title role. Other U.S. credits include The Little Mermaid, Little Women, Kiss Me Kate & Children of Eden.

Jamison Scott has been featured in the Broadway companies of Memphis, Grease, Spiderman and Motown the Musical. He can be heard singing Bohemian Rhapsody with Constantine Maroulis on the album "Killer Queen" a tribute to Queen. He was in the movie Hairspray starring John Travolta and recently debuted his country trio "Manhattan Moonshine" to sold out audiences at 54 Below in New York City.

Nancy Ticotin was recently seen in The View Upstairs. She made her Broadway debut in West Side Story and went on to perform in Jerome Robbin's Broadway, Damn Yankees, In the Heights, and Half Time. She has an extensive career in tv and film known for Ransom, The First Wives Club, and Everyone Says I Love You.

Alli Mauzey appeared on Broadway as Glinda in the 10th-anniversary company of Wicked. Other Broadway roles include Lenora in Cry-Baby (for which she won a Theatre World Award and was nominated for a Drama League Award) and Brenda in Hairspray. She appeared as Sydney in It's a Bird ... It's a Plane ... It's Superman at City Center Encores! Regionally Ms. Mauzey performed as Mallory in City of Angels for Reprise!, Snookie in 110 in the Shade at the Pasadena Playhouse and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors at The Muny (Kevin Kline Award nomination).

The Broadway Experience is an international musical theatre program designed to create and inspire triple threat performers. Students undergo an intense, disciplined study of dance, voice, and acting with current Broadway professionals and incredible master teachers. Students become stronger, versatile, and more dynamic performers, preparing themselves for a professional career at the highest level. Ben Hartley is the Founder & Director of The Broadway Experience. He performed in Broadway & West End productions of The Little Mermaid, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Fiddler on the Roof, Matthewe Bourne's Swan Lake, Cats, Fosse, Cinderella, & The Carman as well as regional productions of Hello Dolly, Pirates of Penzance, & The Most Happy Fella. Ben recently directed & choreographed his first short film, Early Mourning. He choreographed Held Momentarily at NYMF, Gypsy in Houston, TX, & Hairspray in Stamford, CT. For LGHS, "Fame School" Guys & Dolls, Cabaret, Grease, Urinetown, Carousel, Into The Woods, & Les Mis. Ben served as the Assistant Choreographer on the Broadway production of Enron & the reading of Robin & The Seven Hoods.
