This year's Edinburgh Fringe festival includes 2 world premières, 1 Scottish première and 1 musical revival including THE IDIOT AT THE WALL, AS YE SO, THE LONELY ONES, and DEPARTURE LOUNGE.

The shows include:

The Idiot at the Wall : First Bicycle Theatre - Bedlam Fringe: 3rd - 25th August
Set on a Hebridean island in the wake of World War One, this drama by Elspeth Turner sees a traditional way of life struggle against the encroachment of the modern world, and challenges us to consider the power of prophecy over reason. Gaelic songs of the period enrich a score composed and arranged by Murdo Turner and Tim du Feu. Celebrating her personal island heritage, and blending English with Gaelic, Turner’s play traverses myth and reality to present a haunting tale all but lost to the modern world. This production roots itself in traditional Hebridean storytelling, and offers an authentic new voice in Scottish theatre.

As Ye Sow : Theatre of the Damned/Bare Bawds - The Pleasance: Jackdome: 1st - 27th August
As Ye Sow received universal critical acclaim as one of four short plays in Theatre of the Damned’s Revenge of the Grand Guignol (2011); this all new version expands and exploits the themes of dementia and unreliable memory to develop a world of fear, guilt and supernatural horror. A modern ghost story which blends the traditions of M R James with 21st century technological horror, As Ye Sow is a moving, blackly comic and often terrifying new drama.

The Lonely One: Dotted Line Theatre - Underbelly: Iron Belly: 2nd - 26th August
Following a sell out and critically acclaimed run at London’s Little Angel Theatre and at The 2012 Pulse Festival in Ipswich, Dotted Line Theatre bring their atmospheric one act play to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Hot summer night. Past locked houses and moonlit trees. In the ravine a million fireflies flit and dance. Lavinia Nebbs stands listening, in the middle of a thousand warm shadows there are little bits of sudden snow all over her flesh – “Every time I take a step, there’s an echo. Someone’s following me.” The Lonely One, is a deliciously dark tale of fear, with a touch of humour based on an excerpt from the novel Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury. Adapted and directed by Rachel Warr – Artistic director of Dotted Line Theatre and newly appointed Associate Artist at The Little Angel Theatre.

Departure Lounge: InSTEP Theatre - Paradise at St Augustines: 7th - 19th August
Commended by The Scottish Daily Mail’s 2012 Edinburgh Festival Fringe Drama Award, InSTEP Theatre produce the first professional regional production of Dougal Irvine's cult musical Departure Lounge. Critically praised during its sold out run in Liverpool they now transfer the production to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Jordan, Pete, Ross and JB have had the time of their lives in Malaga. A week full of booze, girls and sunburn has left them with great stories to tell. But who is being completely honest and when the truth comes out will their friendship survive?
