BWW speaks to Anna Freeman about her Edinburgh Fringe show Animal (Are You A Proper Person)?
How would you describe your show Animal (Are You A Proper Person)?
It's a spoken-word comedy with high-energy live music, mostly about self-identity and how weird it is being alive.
Do you think you know what to expect from the Fringe?
Well, I've done a week there and fell in love with Edinburgh. So I'm as prepared as I know how to be, and very excited.
What sets Animal (Are You A Proper Person) apart from the thousands of other shows at the Edinburgh festival?
It's raucous, and very silly. And the music is as important as the stories we're telling - it plays a central role in the comedy.
Who would you recommend your show to?
It's for adults, as we've got a few swears and sexual references. But beyond that, anyone who likes funny things with music.
Are there any other acts you're looking forward to seeing at the festival?
Harry Baker, Ross Sutherland and Rob Auton are all bringing shows. They're always brilliant.
