(*Boom-Boom... Boom-Boom... Boom-Boom...*)

Feel the adrenaline pulse

As it jumps through your veins.

Try to stay calm...

The final second remains.

Take a deep breath,

Feel the air, smooth and cool.

"Absorb all you can."

[The first golden rule]

Throw open the curtains

And dive into the bliss,

Of the audience's applause,

And the lights' hot kiss.

There you stand,

Welcomed to the hallowed stage,

With its timeless beauty,

And well-earned age.

So Begin.

But, savour each moment 'til it's past.

For these moments are fleeting,

But their memory will last.

Randolph Academy's production of Seussical TYA officially opened!

Our Show Week kick-started with the humbling and enlivening experience of our Monday night preview, which was sold out! With an audience full of Randolph Academy alumni and members of the Randolph Kids Program, the energy and support was overwhelming and much appreciated.

The fun continued 24 hours later, on Tuesday, with our show's official opening night! We were lucky enough to have yet another spirited and lively audience. The momentum has continued, as our consecutive shows and audiences have been filled with incredible energy!

The transition from Tech Week to Show Week felt smooth for our ensemble and creative team. The cast definitely banded together by participating in physical warm-ups led by rotating cast members, peppy vocal exercises with Kieren MacMillan (Music Director), dressing room sing-a-long sessions, and backstage dance-offs.

I cannot describe how humbled and privileged I feel to have performed alongside such a talented group of performers and our equally stellar technical and musical teams. To those who had their Seussical experience, I hope that we left you feeling inspired, imaginative, and unstoppable!

"You have brains in your head.

You have feet in your shoes.

You can steer yourself any direction you choose."

Dr. Seuss

Randolph Academy's production of Seussical ran November 29th to December 3rd at the Annex Theatre, Toronto, ON, Canada.
