The two-day weekend workshop, conducted virtually and taught by ABT dancers, faculty, and teaching artists, will introduce children to classical ballet and offer classes in character dance, jazz, modern, acting, and mime.

The Broadway Advocacy Coalition has announced the roster of panelists for Part I of its next #BwayforBLM Forum What Now will include Jeanine Tesori, Rachel Chavkin, Kate Shindle, Warren Adams from Black Theatre Coalition (BTC), Brandon Michael Nase from Broadway For Racial Justice (BFRJ) and Destinee Rea from BOLD.

Taking a look at the life and works of NYTB's Resident Choreographer Sir Richard Alston, this installment of Between the Acts will also feature former NYTB principal dancer and Hiland Artistic Director at NDI New Mexico Steven Melendez, who has been a fixture of Alston's work with NYTB beginning with A Rugged Flourish in 2011.

On Valentine's Day Eve (February 13, 2021), Food For Love, a benefit concert, will feature David Byrne, Jackson Browne, Nathaniel Rateliff, the Chicks, Kurt Vile and many more artists all performing to benefit the New Mexico Association of Food Banks. 

The Palace Theater in Waterbury has just made winter a little bit more bearable with the announcement of their presentation of a new virtual streaming show, “DIXIE’S HAPPY HOUR” for a limited engagement beginning Thursday, February 25 at 6:30pm and Friday February 26 at 5:30pm and 8:00pm.  

Each workshop is approximately 12-15 hours of class time. Class size is limited to 10-15 students. Their goals are: to give you new vocabulary to make your own work, share their artistic obsessions with hungry theatremakers, and to create virtual ensembles of artists who want to reach new frontiers.
